“Seriously good dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

OK, folks, this is really good dining. The reception is warm and accomodating. I am a little claustrophobic, so requested a table near a window. I got one, and they opened the window on a kind of chilly day, which was wonderful....I ordered half bottle of Champagne and some fried calamari while we looked at the menu; the waitress got it, and the bottle and the food were there toute suite. I had read that the oysters were great, and they truly are; so briny, fresh, and mouth watering. The other app was Thai Salad, with about twenty ingredients. Now I am not a multi ingredient kind of diner, but this was really delicious; like a deconstructed spring roll of a salad. Both entrees were spot on; sausages-frites, with two kinds of sausages, lamb and pork, and super duper fries, with,, I must add, the most AMAZING ketchup in the world, and a fantastic twist on breakfast, roasted pork belly and eggs; pretty close to perfection. The service, unlike so many country restaurants, was solicitous and friendly; actually fun. The room is spacious with a nice buzz, though never loud. They have a wonderful, extensive wine list, with, mostly, very good producers. Prices, by the way, for this quality, and big portions, are very moderate. GO!

Here is a chef that cares about what he is doing!!! Using seasonal, local and only the finest ingredients for every meal! Every mouthful is heavenly!! This place is a must when you are traveling along Route 7 in MA. Don't miss the oysters..they are the best on the east coast!!!

“Doesn't get any better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I visited Cafe Adam for the first time tonight. From beginning to end, the food was delicious, fresh and local, and beautifully presented, with unusual takes on familiar dishes. Grilled chicken breast atop a fresh seasonal veggie ratatouille with spicy red pepper and basil drizzles was prefect. The chocolate sesame cake with vanilla almond truffles and caramel and chocolate sauce was a delicious, melt-in-your mouth surprise. The waitstaff were all helpful, friendly, and genuinely appear to love the restaurant. We can't think of many equivalent meals, no matter the city. Treat yourself!

“High prices , skimpy portions and noisy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

Title says it all. My husband had the bento box and it was too salty. My faux pasta entree was okay for an appetizer as the portion was small. I ordered desert, which i normally don't do, because even after having a salad and entree I was still hungry. The entrees were overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. The restaurant became so noisy towards the middle of our meal that had to talk loud so we could hear one another. Will probably not return until we hear thing have changed for the better.
