This was our third visit. Each time our stay is better and better. The rooms are lovely, the breakfasts are amazing, the setting is beautiful ,the innkeepers are friendly and helpful and as such it is terrific value. We have no desire to stay anywhere else.

The Inn at Sweet Water Farm was everything that we wanted for a relaxing and hospitable stay. The room (#2) was comfortable with nice amenities. Best of all was the way that Andrei and Linda treated us. Linda's breakfast was outstanding. Try her crepes - she makes them to order for you. The eggs could not be fresher, they come from the chickens you can see within walking distance of the front door.
We felt like honored guests. As an example, we accidently left our jackets in the room. I called Linda and she said they would be in the mail to us by the afternoon. We highly recommend The Inn at Sweet Water Farm.

Spent a weekend at the home of Lynda and Andrei....two incredibly gracious and welcoming hosts. With the incredibly comfortable, warm and welcoming accommodations you could not help but feel this was your home away from home.
during a warm, almost summer, weekend we found the Inn to be centrally located to lots of great sites and hikes, but just set back enough so that you feel you're definitely away.
Hudson, downtown Great Barrington, Taconic State Park, Tanglewood and much more are just a few minutes away.
We lucked out to be there during a weekend with very few other residents so we got some great individualized attention, but my guess whether sold out or just a few folks, Lynda and Andrei will always make everyone feel welcome.
As other reviews have mentioned, the organic, farm to table breakfasts are not to be missed.
One warning, the rooster crows early....every AM.

Room Tip: Room #5, where we stayed, has a big king bed, and is a comfortable size for a couple.

If you need a country getaway, definitely check out the Inn at Sweet Water Farm. The innkeepers are very friendly and the breakfasts are a true delight -- their eggs come straight from their own chicken coop, so it's a real farm-to-table experience.

What really made the inn stand out for me was the comfortable living room, which they keep stocked with coffee/tea and freshly baked cookies. We were there for a rainy weekend and felt very much at ease playing chess and having a glass of wine during the storm.

If you live in New York, it's very easy to get to Great Barrington. We took the Metro-North to Poughkeepsie, and the local Enterprise dealer will pick you up and bring you to your rental car. Made for an easy weekend trip.

We love Sweet Water! My boyfriend and I have stayed there many times, and we try to visit at least 3 times a year to experience all of the seasons! The fall is beautiful, the winter is so cozy with the big fireplace going in the Living Room, and the summer is a great time to get out and walk the beautiful neighborhood right outside the Inn's front door. Lynda and Andre are always welcoming and will meet your every need (if you wish). One of the best things about the Inn is the incredible breakfast Lynda personally prepares and serves to you each morning. The food is truly delicious and you can have as much as you want of anything on the menu!! We have stayed in every single room and each one has its own special charm. We can't say enough about how much we love this Inn. It is close to everything - great hiking, walks, parks, restaurants, shopping - but we would be happy just kicking back and spending our day at Sweet Water, taking a walk, relaxing, eating, reading, napping, and recharging. Go and have a great time!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are lovely, but if you would like more space, choose one of the larger rooms with a...

Recently we stayed for a second time at the Inn at Sweet Water Farm; 1 year later and hosts Linda and André continue to offer perhaps the best getaway experience one can imagine in such a short drive away from Boston/NY.
This charming and beautiful building from the 1800s is located off of the beaten path in North Egremont, yet is less than 5 minutes from bustling Great Barrington with all of it's bustling Berkshire activity. It's only after you come inside that you get to appreciate the beautiful and fully modernized accommodations included in this home away from home. This time we arrived as 5 couples and filled the entire building- equally fun was coming with 2 friends and enjoying our place in this welcoming and wonderful multi-family environment.
Our room was large, quiet, and extremely comfortable including a king sized bed and a 21st century beautiful bathroom, flat screen TV and all the desired amenities.
If all of the above wasn't enough, you start your days with Linda's wonderful and creative home cooked breakfast extravaganzas and can finish your evenings with André's hospitality alongside his roaring and welcoming gigantic fireplace.
Don't miss this place!
