My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate our two-year anniversary somewhere special so we started Googling regions and towns that are a reasonable distance from New York City (where we live). We decided to check out The Berkshires together and picked Great Barrington after the great reviews we read about the quaint little downtown w/ shops, restaurants and bars, the focus on really great, locally sourced food, lots of hiking and the immediate access to the other towns and attractions of The Berkshires region. I stumbled across The Inn at Sweet Water Farm and became quickly sure that this was where we should be staying. I had several very pleasant phone chats with the owner Lynda and her husband Andrei who are knowledgeable about the area and happy to help you plan your trip. We stayed for two nights and had a marvelous time. Between Andrei's hospitality, Lynda's sensational cooking and our cozy little room we enjoyed every moment at the Inn. I cannot wait to plan our next stay with Lynda and Andrei. They are the most warm, welcoming, and fun innkeepers with a true appreciation for cooking the best breakfast you could hope to wake up to. I highly recommend The Inn at Sweet Water Farm for couples or groups of friends and family members. Hope to see you soon, Lynda and Andrei!!

Room Tip: Room 6! A comfortable and cozy room we loved coming home to!

My wife and I stayed here with my parents for a recent late fall visit to the Berkshires. We could not have picked a more perfect place. It was very relaxing sitting by the fire in the evenings. Lynda and Andrei were very friendly and welcoming. They have lots of recommendations for local restaurants and activities. We chatted with Lynda for a long time about cooking. Breakfast was delicious! Breakfast tamales, Yum!

Our stay at the Inn at Sweet Water Farm was one of the highlights of a recent brief visit to the US. This was a last minute reservation following a recommendation from people we had met along the way. We are so glad we went with this suggestion. We really felt we were Lynda’s private guests, not only is she the perfect host the rooms are delightfully decorated, filled with thoughtful advice for exploring the nearby towns and local walks. Our daily breakfast making the most of local produce and an exceptional understanding food, was out of this world and our only regret is that we only had 2! Daily baking left on the sideboard is a treat! In short we just can’t recommend the Inn at Sweet Water Farm highly enough.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to have discovered this wonderful hidden gem. Actually, not so hidden, but a true gem. Lynda is an amazing cook and couldn't have been warmer and more gracious. The room was charming and the bed extremely comfortable. But, that breakfast. WOW! Homemade pastries which were amazing, delicious eggs from their own chickens and her own sausage made from lamb and ramps. Then there was that stack of silver-dollar apple and pecan pancakes. Everything was scrumptious and a perfect ending to a wonderful stay. If you're planning a trip to this area, or even if you aren't, you must stay at the Inn.

Lynda and Andrei make you feel right at home. I could get lost in all the cookbooks available to read. Coffee, scones and breakfast were all great. The complimentary after dinner drinks and conversation were a nice touch. Just a short drive from downtown Great Barrington, the Inn is a great place to escape for a quite, yummy weekend away.

We returned 2 years after first visiting this inn which deservedly has excellent reviews. Lynda really is a perfect host: she is thoughtful, interesting and informed and yes, a great cook, willing to accommodate personal preferences whilst stretching the culinary imagination. She went out of her way to make us welcome and to assist us with a car rental issue... just the sort of thing that makes you want to plan another visit....soon. Well worth the flight from London.

If you’re looking for a Home away from Home then you’ll find it here at this lil’ gem of a B&B, nestled in the hills of the Berkshires. When my best friend of 26 years & I went looking for a quiet, nature-filled venue to catch up after a busy summer, we landed here. The Inn at Sweet Water Farm instantly became our home away from home. On our arrival we were cheerfully greeted and directed to the dining room side board where fresh coffee, home made scones and other goodies were lovingly made by Lynda our Inn Keeper...A good sign and a fine start to our 3 day retreat. Our room was fashioned with vintage pieces and 2 delightfully comfortable beds; the obvious focus, and adorned with pure white, freshly line dried linens. I have to admit this caught my attention and my heart. A labor of love and testimonial to Lynda and Andrei’s desire to offer comfort and a restful sleep for their guests. But perhaps the most delightful of all comforts was Lynda’s culinary talent. Waking to the wafting smells of freshly baked croissants and freshly brewed coffee had me smiling even before opening my eyes. A bright & whimsical chef Lynda’s breakfast offerings had our taste buds in awe. Make no mistake about it, this is seriously good food, prepared with passion, skill and creativity. Eggs from the chicken coop out back, freshly baked breads, hand selected cheeses and homemade jam! Breakfast has never been better or fresher. Lynda and her husband Andrei graciously and generously opened their home and their hearts to us. Coming back is certain now that there is a Home away from Home at The Inn at Sweet Water Farm. Keep a room ready Sweet Water....I’ll be home soon.
