I am visiting/dog sitting my aunts house/dogs while they are away at a reunion in NY. My Aunt D. said that Baba Louies had the best pizza ever, then I overheard this obnoxious father at the Barrington Brewery (thats another review!) say that he waited over two hours for his pizza but it was well worth it. So I took a three hour nap, woke up at 9, they close at 10 on a saturday. I ordered one of those Riccardo's pizza. It had calamatta olives, sundried tomatos, roasted garlic, asiago cheese and mozz. A small was $14.00 and was 4 small pieces. Pretty outrageos price for the pizza I was given. I did not taste the sourdough in the pizza so I was dissapointed in that, because I love anything sourdough. The oven that the pizza was in must have been filthy because the bottom of the pizza was dusty and tasted burnt. All in all it was just okay, it did not amaze me. Caserta's in Providence is still the best pizza I have had, next to Lou Malnatis in IL.

I love Baba Louie's. They have unique wood fired sourdough organic pizza. The restaurant is small but somewhat cozy. The salads there are great!!! There are two locations - I've been to both. Although that atmosphere at the Hudson restaurant is nicer with more room, I would recommend the Great Barrington one for better food.

My sister and I went to the Great Barrington area for some antique shopping and to get away from our husbands. We asked around and found that this rest. was highly recommended. It was truely the best pizza I had ever eaten. Although it is a small place, the ambiance is very quaint and classy. Not your typical pizza/Italian restaurant. We are coming back this year!
