“The Briarcliff Experience”

This newly renovated 50's modern style experience couldn't have been more perfect, especially in a land of printed wallpaper with curtains to match. We loved our room (nice and roomy and clean) the location (minutes from downtown Great Barrington) and the morning breakfast (amazing homemade scones and granola and coffee from Barrington Roasters). Will 100% go back. Incredible, incredible value.

Warm and welcoming, rooms are spotless, hosts couldn't be more accommodating. Homemade breakfast was delicious - the owners even delivered it to us when our kids were having a bit of a meltdown. This is the only place we'll stay when we go for a ski trip in the Berkshires.

Clean and Friendly motel updated to today's standards. Great home made breakfast, there was alot of kids there with families so it was a little crowded for breakfast and noisy in morning, which is expected in ski season. Want to go there this summer on our Motorcycles.

This Bed and Breakfast reminded us of the modern European-style motel we stayed in in South Africa. The bathrooms are big, the beds are comfortable, and the interior design was very pleasing. We didn't get a chance to see Richard, but Eileen was amazing to talk with and was more than helpful with any request. We bugged her all the time (restaurants, grocery stores, recreation), as well as extra plates and glasses when we ordered take out. The breakfast was amazing! Local yogurt, homemade granola, great coffee and pastries. Can't say enough about how good the accommodations are. We'll definitely be back!

We've stayed in a few motels during our travels, and the Briarcliff is definitely the best. Clean, comfortable, modern, contemporary design. The owners are very friends and it's a lovely quiet location, set back from the road.

Hope to return again one day.

If only this was an undiscovered treasure, then I could have first use of all the superlatives that this place deserves. Perfect, chic, affordable, spacious, affable, and on and on!! Bring on the thesaurus!!! And all so true.

This is an unexpected pleasure. Richard and Clare are wonderful urbane hosts. I am sure that if you turned up there and you were interested in "endangered insects of Great Barrington" you would be made to feel that it was their heartfelt interest too. They show a genuine interest in making your visit as pleasurable as possible.

The accommodation is extremely comfortable. And after all these trip advisor postings I would love to say that Richard's granola and Clare's scones were "meh" ... but how could I?? It was a wonderful complimentary continental breakfast served in a bright friendly space.

My husband and I spent one night here. The owners and the night manager (sorry, her name escapes me) were super helpful with dinner and hiking recommendations. There was plenty of hot tea and a good breakfast. The rooms are beautiful; there is nothing motelish about the clean, contemporary decor. The only drawback was that the (motelish) thin walls allowed our neighbors' animated conversation to drift into our room, which might have disturbed us if they had not gone to bed early. Even with that, I would stay there again, and highly recommend this inn.
