“Great Breakfast, great atmosphere...”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

Two sisters is a little breakfast joint with a friendly local atmosphere and delicious food. All the bread is homemade, the omelets are inspired and the homefries (with peppers and onions) are yummy. Oh and they have great iced coffee. Bring cash and your own newspaper,

“Best breakfast in Gloucester, MA!”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

Go early (with cash!) to get a table at Two Sisters Coffee Shop, 27 Washington Street (by the Joan of Arc statue at the beginning, i.e. downtown end, of Wash. St.), my favorite breakfast place in Gloucester. The food is delicious (try the Green Giant omelet, chock-full of fresh veggies), the coffee is great, the atmosphere is cozy and bright, the service is excellent, especially from friendly, funny owner, Patty (thanks for everything, Patty!).

“Local Gloucester Color and a Great Breakfast Too!”
Reviewed May 1, 2012

My wife and I have been going to Gloucester for 35 years and we love this town. It's a colorful working town that revolves around the fishing industry but always has time to welcome visitors. If you are in town, Two Sisters Coffee Shop is a fine example of Gloucester welcome and color that you should not miss. It is a short block and a half off of Main Street. It's where the locals eat breakfast and although they all know one another and can spot you as a visitor, we guarantee you will feel welcome. Patti, the owner (or Crabby Patti as some of us call her), is character of great warmth, humor and full of verbal give and take. She is a force to be reckoned with and appreciated. There is a sign on the wall that says, "Sarcasm. Just One of the Many Services I Offer." But it's really a bluff and she has a heart of gold. Putting the sheer entertainment value of Two Sister's aside for a moment, I can cheerfully report that they serve some great breakfast there. My wife always comments about the lightness of the omelets even though they are filled to capacity with great stuff. There are the usual renditions like the Western or Denver type omelets. But then there is the Gloucesterman that has everything including Linguica (Portuguese sausage) and my wife's favorite is the Green Giant filled with fresh veggies...asparagus, broccoli, other veggies and your choice of cheeses. A "short" stack of blueberry pancakes is best shared by a couple and makes a great compliment to two omelets. The breads are HOMEMADE and include whole wheat, anadama (our favorite), multi-grain, cinnamon raisin and patriot's (cranberry and blueberry). They also serve fishcakes and hash and many other breakfast dishes that you would expect. All of this great food is served by friendly and efficient staff including Patti herself. Two sister's can get rock'n on Weekend mornings but that is also when it's at it's liveliest and most colorful. Wanna eat breakfast like a local and enjoy being in their company? Go to Two Sister's and feel at home.

“Love the window seat!”
Reviewed September 27, 2011

I don't know what else to say but it is like eating at a friends house. They remember us from visit to visit. The food is OUTSTANDING especially the sweet rolls. If this is your first trip to Gloucester make sure you stop in.
