Seafood well prepared and served. We stopped for a lunch that was recommended by a local (in the know). Was not disappointed. We'll return next time for a dinner.

My husband and I eat here as often as possible. The Towering Tapas are amazing! We've brought Portuguese friends here and they've said the octopus is the best they've ever had. The atmosphere is fun, the service is excellent and the food is consistently delicious.

...this restaurant has the food and the decor to take you there for an evening. The tapas and the paella are very good. Take the advice of the staff about specials and what is typically Portuguese. Try a vinho verde (a light white wine with tiny bubbles) with the seafood, or a rich red port with (or as) dessert!

We live about 40 minutes from here but pass by this restaurant just about every time we come to Gloucester. We were actually on our way somewhere else. As we drove by we decided last minute that it was time to stop. Casual and friendly atmosphere the minute we walked in. We ate in the bar area and opted to try the tapas plate that would include 6 different choices from quite a large selection. Each time we tried another bite we love the food and the place more and more. We were eyeing the plates that were on other tables and our mouths were watering to try even more. Can't wait to get back!

The Azorean restaurant in Gloucester is a nice place to have a quick and tasty lunch or dinner with friends or family. Service is quick and correct, the interior decoration makes you feel comfortable and the division of tables gives you the comfort of privacy. Prices didn't seem high, considering that most of the dishes are sea-based. My risotto was ok, cooked with the right rice and it had plenty of lobster meat in it. It could have been tastier if cooked a bit differently, but in that case it would cost fare more than 20 USD. Usually I measure the capabilities of the chef by the way they cook risotto and at the Azorean they cook a pretty good lobster risotto. Grilled fish and sea fruits were also ok, so in general I had a nice experience in this place. It could be much better, but of course prices would be much higher.
