We went there on Sunday morning, knowing we were in for a long wait... but it wasn't quite as long as we expected. Our server was very prompt, especially for being so busy, and checked our coffee often. The menu selection was very tempting and had unique choices - my boyfriend got the goatie omelet, with veggies and chevre, and I had a veggie frittata. Huge portions. The one problem was that the goatie came with only about 4 home fry pieces. The coffee was a better brew than we expected.

Sugar Mags' interesting menu has s'mores French toast, carrot cake pancakes & pineapple fritters, among countless other options. They make a veggie omelet so buttery-perfect that I dream about it. Service is somewhat brusque but probably b/c it's incredibly busy. Try to go on a weekday as there are no reservations and weekend lines down the block. (Try Passport's, next door, if you're stuck in line; less interesting menu but huge, tasty plates.) One complaint: The crab cakes used to have a beautiful zingy spice to them, but they have become kind of bland.

we happened to be in the area and found this place on yelp. it was one of the best places for breakfast i have encountered ever! i am very particular about food, some say impossible to please, so my praise is not given lightly!
service was great, staff very friendly and helpful.
my pancakes were "carrot cake with maple cream cheese" and they were awesome. my daughter had the "irish" eggs benedict, also amazing. we had 6 in our party and everyone loved their food. very interesting breakfast food but also the old standbys like blueberry pancakes (filled with blueberrie) even the coffee was very good.
also the prices are extremely reasonable! i had a "short stack" pancake for $5 and it was more than i could eat.
if you are in gloucester, don't miss this place!

Carrot cake pancakes. Awesome. We got one along with our other breakfast items just to try it. The rest of our food was quite good as well but we had a bit of a wait for a table (30 minutes).

The only fruit cup that is made with all fresh fruit...no canned pieces! Omlettes are cooked to perfection. Excellent bread and muffins. Service with a smile.
