“Good experience, somewhat overpriced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

This was the first place we ate on our visit to Massachusetts and it was a great first choice. The restaurant was very nice and situated right on the edge of the water. The seafood was very fresh and our meals were all good sized portions and very tasty - the salads that came with the meals in particular were huge. We did think it was a bit overpriced but nothing too ridiculous. Good service too. All in all a good experience!

“A bit of disappointment!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

Recently returned from yearly family reunion on the Northshore. Great food in past but this year found something lacking. Restaurant was clean and wait staff very helpful but food lacking flavor and very ordinary. They did a great job in handling our large group of 25 but will have to reconsider before booking again next year. Maybe there has been a change in kitchen staff or chef. Ate there the night previous and even with a smaller group food was bland and temperature of seafood "warm".

“Our first on the coast meal of the trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

CC was recommended to us by our hotel Captains Lodge, and we were happy with the meal that we had. My aunt got the baked haddock and I believe she would say it was the best meal of the trip for her. My mom got the lobster roll, trading out the french fries for mash potatoes and carrots. She was disappointed that she was charged for the second side and that the waitress dd not advise that she would be. My husband got the swordfish and would tell you the salsa was a little too hot. I got the Oscar Salmon dish, salmon topped with crab, asparagus and a hollandaise sauce. I really liked it too. We had our dinner inside as the night air was a little too cool for my family. It was comfortable and the service was good. We would go back for at least one more meal, my husband would like to get the baked haddock still.

“Great Seafood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

Visited Captain Carlo's on a busy Friday night of the Labor Day holiday weekend. it was busy with lots of families as well as a birthday celebration. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was good but beware the portion size - enormous. A starter portion of nachos for one was too much for three of us! We all had seafood options for main course - lovely lobster, excellent pasta and a yummy seafood bake. There was a band preparing to pay when we left. Would recommend.

“Lobster BLTs...yup.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

Our first visit here but not our lasr. Enjoyed all of our meals. Seafood casserole was fantastic not to heavy on the bread crumbs like in some places just buttery goodness. Fish and chips was flaky and perfectly golden. We ate outside on the deck and it was a beautiful day. Will definatley go again.
