Great place! Found it on trip advisor and decided to stop by on our way back to NYC. It was packed but we got in just before the rush and despite being very busy our waitress was very attentive and quick! Great food, friendly efficient staff and nice view.

We visited Lobsta Land on a Saturday evening (based on Tripadvisor reviews) after spending the afternoon in Gloucester. Our party of four did not have a reservation and we were seated after waiting just 25 minutes (the hostess's estimate was 45-60 - reservations are recommended). The food was very good, and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Crab cakes, shrimp provencal and lobster chowder were very good and the coconut shrimp was the best we have ever had. The prices were more reasonable than some of the waterfront restaurants in Gloucester we considered but the menu was just as varied and interesting. We also appreciated the multi-generational families in the dining room - grandparents, parents and children. The location on Route 128 was ideal for us as we were heading back toward Boston, but if you want to walk around the neighborhood before or after dinner then this is not the restaurant for you.

Was recommended to us by a local guy we met when playing golf on a trip to Cape Anne. He told us to ignore the outward look of the place!
Had a great night, vibrant place, loads of locals and excellent food.

We decided to have two starters and one main course. Waitress (Karen) suggested an alternative to one of the starters as it was much like the main course. Food was fantastic. Our waitress was very busy with a large party of twelve but managed to take very good care of us too. If we go back to Gloucester (or anywhere in that area) we will definitely be dining there.
Restaurant overlooks Route 128 in the front and a large grassy area in the back - nothing to write home about but quality of food and service made up for any lack of ambiance.

Very good value since it is off the bay. Great food, locals go there, I would highly recommend.
