“Food Was Great”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2009

My husband and I had gone to Rockport for the weekend and looked on trip advisor to find a restaurant for dinner. We saw that Lobsta Land had good reviews and decided to try it out. The food was great and service was also great. We are so glad we decided to go there for dinner. Would go back again

“Lobsta Land was A-OK!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2009

Lobsta Land is a quality seafood restaurant in Gloucester. It features dishes with an Italian flair combining pasta, rices, spices and seafood. We enjoyed pasta with fresh scallops, shrimp and lobster. It was terrific. The name and setting along the road might not be inviting, but inside the food and view of the marshlands was excellent. The best seats are by the windows. We sat in the "back room" which was nice but a little noisy. This is a winner visited during my vacation.

“great selection of fish -- all wonderful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2009

We were a party of four, none of us who ate shellfish. Based on other reviews we decided to go here for fish (despite the name). We had tuna, swordfish, and haddock. All were excellent -- fresh, plentiful and well prepared. The only complaint is that the entrees did not come with enough vegetables. They came with a side salad, which was fine, but we wanted more vegetables. Next time, we'll order a side dish of veggies.

Coffee was fresh and tasty. We were full from the meal and didn't order desserts.

The restaurant was very crowded and a bit noisy -- but obviously very popular. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Other people in the line had to wait 30-45 minutes for a table.

The restaurant has a big picture window overlooking a marsh -- nicer view than we expected.

We'll be back next time we're in the area.

“Go for breakfast!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2009

They are the least crowded at this time of day. My husband and I first visited this place in May 2008 for breakfast, and on subsequent trips to Cape Ann in August and October, we went for breakfast again. They have an extensive and unusual breakfast menu, and serve huge portions. We did find that the quality of food and service can vary depending on who happens to be on duty, but when it’s good, it’s SO good. We’re planning another trip to Cape Ann next month, and one of the things we’re most looking forward to is eating breakfast at Lobsta Land, sitting by the windows overlooking the marsh behind restaurant. I can almost taste their Crab Cakes Benedict. We’ve never been for lunch or dinner, but have noticed driving past the place that as the day goes on, the parking lot becomes more and more crowded, so they must be doing something right!
