“Old reliable”

still crowded even mid-week second week in October. Steamed lobsta was delicious. Lobsta roll was filled with only lobsta with a little mayo. Server obviously wanted to go home.

“Lobsta Land was a very good dining experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

The food was just superb, I'm a freak for Chowdah done right and they knock it outa the park, then of course everything else from the salad to the Maine lobstah with roasted butternut squash was just delicious and very well prepared, the service was superb from beginning to end. Highly recommend this location !!!

“Good food, more than just lobstah!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

PRO'S: obviously any of the lobster dishes were near perfect. My roll had more meat than another diner's 8oz tail! Friendly owner & staff. Good wine & draught beer selection. Good salads, can easily fill up on rolls before your meal arrives, ravenous diners beware! Steaks are grilled outdoors, so the parking lot smells great!

CON'S: nothing major, some indoor climate issues (can't please EVERYBODY), parking lit is tight.

TIP'S: reservation, get some lobstah, GPS (unless you are a local).

“Lobster Rip Off”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

I have been to LobstaLand many times and have always enjoyed it, even tho' like most restaurants they over charge for seafood. Today, however was absolutely ridiculous. For lunch lobster pie was priced at $32.95, lobster roll $21.95 and fisherman's platter $32.95. As a reminder this was lunch.....can't imagine what dinner might cost. When I got home I called my fish market who told me lobsters were priced at $4.99 per pound. The other insulting thing is that Gloucester is a prime spot for lobsters. I realize that restaurants capitalize on the popularity of lobster, but to hike the prices by so much is outrageous. Needless to say Lobstaland is no longer my menu choice.

“Lobster Rolls!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

I really don't need to write anything else other than the title. We've had lobster rolls many places, but these are record setters. Again, another nondescript place in the middle of nowhere (relatively speaking), but filled with locals at lunch having lobster like we have burgers back here at home. Sometimes the lobster in a lobster roll is excellent, but the "dressing" is just ok, or the lobster is average and the roll is exceptional. These guys get everything just right all at the same time. Even the French fries were delicious. Prices are about what would pay anywhere else in that area for the same food, but the portions are more generous and the quality far surpasses anything anywhere else. This place is another reason of many that Gloucester will be a return destination for us. Don't miss it!!
