We were on a long weekend. Of course, when you are on Cape Anne (Gloucester, Rockport) you have to seafood. Lobsta Land is the place to go.It just not about lobster, it is SEAFOOD. Everything was great from the wait staff to the food. We were there on a sunday evening after 7PM. It was still packed, but got a table as we walked in.
Started off with warm rolls with an Kalamata Olive Spread
I had a seafood dish with Risotto, that was full lobster, scallops, fish and shrimp. My lady had a very nice salmon/risotto dish. Finished with a fantastic slice of Key Lime Pie.
If you are in the area, you must STOP .

Where is the crab in the crab cake? We could not believe the amount of bread crumb fill in the tiny flat what was served as a crab cake. Rest of the meal was good, but if you are out for the crab in a crab cake, go elsewhere. Service was prompt and attentive :)) But our plans to stop for dinner here, due to the lack of proper ingredients, were scrapped.

Lobsta lan (the D is silent) offers fresh, tasty New England style seafood at pretty good prices. Let me qualify this review by stating that I am a Texan visiting New England for the first time. We tripadvised this place when we saw all of the cars in the parking lot-it was jammed. The place seemed small and is out seemingly in the middle of no where across the highway from the Candy House. The place was very crowded and after being told it would be a 45 min wait, we went into the crowded bar. We got an empty table and ate there-no smoking so many patrons were eating at the bar and at the tables. The staff was very helpful and friendly and got our order in. I'm not really a chowda person, but had to try the lobster chowder-it is fantastic-creamy and buttery but not too heavy with pieces of lobster that was sweet and fresh. Fish and chips consisted of a huge piece of beer battered cod that was thick and nicely fried and was so hot it raised the temperature of the bar! I've had a lot of fish and chips, but this was outstanding-the fish was firm and had great flavor-naked! The serving was huge and even though shared, we couldn't finish it. The chips and sides were good and fresh as well. Stop in at Lobsta Lan if you are out in the "boondocks" of New England.

As soon as this establishment opens in the Spring (2013 Apr 11) it is packed with regulars...the food is good and well priced and overlooks the beautiful and vast marsh of the Essex River.
