This was our second trip to the area. We had walked around the town previously and thought we knew what Gloucester was all about, boy were we wrong! Taking the tour with Patrick, our tour guide, we learned so much more about the community, it's people and foods that it seemed like we had never been there. P.J. brings the history of the development of one of Americas first and still operating fishing village to life. While soaking up the history along tour stops you also get to sample the food fare offered by the local establishments. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had never taken a tour like this but we will definetly be searching out such tours in our next travels.

For those who want the real 'taste' of the fishing community of Gloucester, you can't do better than this tour! We began with bacon-wrapped scallops and famous New England clam chowder, moved on to smoked salmon, battered haddock & chips and deep-fried calamari served with a selection of locally brewed beer. We visited the Cape Ann Olive Oil Co. and bought some specialty oils & balsamic vinegars. We topped it all off with homemade chocolate pecan turtles. All of this gourmet food was served up with some interesting historical tidbits by a very knowledgeable tour guide who grew up in Gloucester. Thank you, P.J.,for a delightful afternoon wandering the harbourfront. We will definitely recommend this tour to all our friends!

Learning some of Gloucester's history while sampling good food is certainly a unique experience. We are planning a trip back to sit down and enjoy a meal and visit the Cape Olive Oil store. We have been enjoting the oil we purchased and are ready for more.

A great way to see the city of Gloucester, one of the first english settlements. The guide, PJ, gives a splendid tour of the city with interesting tales and facts. Combining this with the delicious food being served on the tour, this is a "must-do" if you are in the boston area!!!
