We found Ohana almost by accident, and were wowed by the freshness and tastiness of the food. Enx was trained by Roy Yamaguchi and the Asian fusion influences show. We had the two mixed platters, which would have been a challenge had not the flavours been so extraordinary. Highspots were the braised ribs and the grilled sushi.

A delightful contrast to the normal Gloucester menus.

A real find

My wife and I and two friends ate at Ohana last night. The food quality and presentation was excellent. We have eaten at Ohana many times and are mystified why the restaurant hasn't been a smash hit. The service can be shaky at times but they always deliver on great food. The food is reasonably priced for fine dining in Gloucester.

Ohana would be a great place for a company event because it is just the right size for an intimate party.

We are summer cruisers and stop in Gloucester on the way to and from Maine. We tried Ohana last year and found the food delicious and really good. We are happy to report that the wait staff has much improved, to match the level of the food.

Ming Tsai, watch out.... Here's your competition!

This is the kind of place you would expect to find in NYC. The meals were creations, each one clearly made with care and precision. We went as a family, with the youngest a typical "kid" eater who doesn't like fancy or flavorful food. Keeping that in mind, the chef took care to ensure that her meat was not pre-marinaded and even created french fries (not on the menu) for her to enjoy. She couldn't stop eating her meal, even after she was full. She wanted to take the rest home, so she put the plate in front of her sister, who proceeded to eat it, too.... She just couldn't help it... it was SO GOOD.

We had Gluten-free, lactose and nut allergies and again, the waitstaff knew exactly what was ok to eat.

I wish I lived closer to Gloucester so that we could go there more often.

Highly, highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

Went to Ohana for dinner last night. As always the dinner was excellent. For appetizers we shared the Chicken Spring rolls with a sweet & mildly spicy dipping sauce; pan crisp ricotta gnocchi with wild mushrooms, haricot vert, prosciutto and fonduta was superb; and tempura cape ann lobster sushi roll with homemade sauces. Wonderful. Dinner was delicious. The mahi mahi was fresh with flavors of herbs. The service was appropriately attentive and the staff was very knowledgeable of the menu and wines. Dessert was a special treat. The pineapple up side down cake with home made ricotta ice cream was bursting with fresh flavors. The special blue berry cheese cake with home made blue berry ice cream was delight to our taste buds. Go try this before it is off the menu. A great dining experience.
