I'll start this off by saying that if you've never been to Europe and never plan on going, you should probably give this place a try. Where else in the U.S. can you see a 15th century style castle?
But if you have been abroad, you'll immediately realize how lacking this place is. With a multimillion dollar renovation this place would be pretty cool, but as it stands - run down, dusty, and a tacky - its a bit disappointing. Some of the artifacts are cool, but the documentation is sparse and generic. Also, there's just something disappointing about about a practical castle that was built centuries after such structures were actually practical. As said, this place is cool and has a ton of potential, but don't plan on making a day out of it.
