Owner description: Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed whale sightings for every whale watching tour out to Stellwagen Bank, a national marine preserve about 12 miles off the coast of Gloucester deemed one of the "Top 5 Whale Watching Destinations in the World" by the World Wildlife Fund due to the wide variety of whale species whom migrate to the coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts every year to feed on the abundant natural resources. We provide the best whale watching in New England as it's an awe-inspiring experience which every human being should have the opportunity to appreciate. We make it a very special event. For over 35 years, Cape Ann Whale Watch has been dazzling whale watching enthusiasts with sightseeing tours aboard the largest, fastest and most elegant whale watching vessel in Massachusetts, north of Boston, Massachusetts aptly named "The Hurricane II" due to its immense size and speed as it descends upon its destination. Cape Ann Whale Watch's patrons have the opportunity to spend a lot more time with the whales than with other whale watching companies in Gloucester MA since "The Hurricane II" gets to the whales' feeding grounds with much more expediency as well as traveling home faster, therefore more time is actually spent observing whales including but not limited to Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Northern Right Whales, Pilot Whales, Northern Right Whales, Sperm Whales, Sei Whales, Blue Whales (The Largest Whales in the Seven Seas yet seldom seen around Gloucester MA), Fin Whales, Atlantic White Sided Dolphins, Harbor Porpoises and whole host of other fascinating marine creatures as we deliver the best whale watching excursion in Massachusetts. "The Hurricane II" boasts 115 ft length with over 400 ft of whale watching room from the railings of the upper and lower observation decks for optimum whale watching conditions. There is a heated, furnished indoor cabin with a full service galley serving hot meals, snacks and cold beverages as well as a fully stocked bar with local brews, popular beer, wine and mixed drinks. Cape Ann Whale Watch is truly the finest whale watching tour in the Boston MA area offering the highest level of quality, comfort and service at the cheapest, most affordable price suitable for any family entertainment budget whether on vacation or a day trip. We offer AAA discounts on the adult tickets. We also offer reduced rates for seniors, children and military families. We go where the whales go. Our vessels communicate with each other as to the location of whales so we will go anywhere to see them on the North Shore or South Shore of Massachusetts including off the coast of Boston, Massachusetts: Salem MA, Newburyport, Cape Cod, Hampton NH, Rowley, Rockport MA, Danvers, Peabody, Swampscott, Revere, Winthrop or wherever else the whales may roam.

This is my second year in a row taking the Hurricane II to watch whales out of Gloucester. These guys know how to do it right!

We brought friends from the Midwest (Packer Fans!) to get out in the water, see some whales and have fun. We nailed it on all fronts. We saw several whales; a couple humpbacks, a minke and one fin whale.

The educational interns did a great job of sharing knowledge with the 4 teenagers (as well as us adults). The rest of the staff was also very friendly, helping make the trip special for our guests.

The boat was clean and comfortable. It's great that they allow coolers with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. The parking was convenient and we were able to get out pretty quickly after the tour.

While we saw more dramatic activity from the whales last year, this one was pretty fantastic also. Cape Ann Whale Watch my just become an annual event for us.

We took the 13:30 ride on 23rd June 13 with my family.
We enjoyed very much and number of times saw hump back and its tail.
The guides were quite knowledgable and energetic.
I definitely reccomend this trip.

You will see whales & get great pictures! The boat is clean, modern, & comfortable. The staff goes the extra mile to educate you about the whales, answer questions, stop & talk with all passengers. Although all cruises go to the same area, I highly recommend them over the others. They do a great job!

Comfortable boat, well educated and helpful and friendly crew. When I went out we spent an hour watching a humpback whale bubble fishing. The announcer new which whale it was and the fact that it had been returning for 25 years. Also saw a minke whale.
Everything I expected.....I watched whales!

My mother bought my wife and I a gift certificate for a Cape Ann Whale Watch for Christmas and it was a fabulous present! Easy to make reservations, free parking, clean boat, left on time, polite crew, and charming and informative educators aboard. The boat is dubbed "the fastest to the whales" and lived up to it's billing. We found a humpback and the captain did a great job keeping us within easy photo range as the whale surfaced and dove repeatedly. Also saw a pair of Minke whales. Going on a weekday seemed to reduce the crowd a bit, so it was delightful as we had nice elbow room. Initially, we were a bit concerned to hear they still allow smoking aboard -- hope they'll change that -- but they restrict it to the back of the bottom deck so we stayed at the top front and it wasn't an issue on our trip for us. Others may have not been as fortunate. Otherwise, it was brilliant. Wonderful day, pleasant crew, cooperative whale. We'll go again.
