“Good Food - Avoid Weekends”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

We went to Incontro on a Monday night as we have never been able to make the weekends work. As other people mentioned the parking is VERY limited and it's incredibly crowded. On Monday we experienced none of this which was very nice! Calamari and bruschetta apps were fantastic and most dinners were well received. The butternut squash ravioli was excellent but the steak was a little too heavily seasoned and the pork was overcooked. Overall though everyone was generally happy with the food. The service was great because it wasn't super busy and they weren't trying to move us along. We would go back but probably still not on a weekend unless we had "earlier" reservations.

“Food good; service is terrible; great atmosphere ; old restored building”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

We were ignored; never asked how our meal was; asked for parm cheese and fresh ground pepper; pepper mill was dropped off at our table for a DiY - can you believe it at a fine dining restaurant; parm cheese was not freshly shaved table side; food was tasty; sides were cold.

“Unfortunately inconsistent”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

I believe I've given this restaurant a similar review previously, but wanted to add new thoughts. Recently went with a groupon, and ordered the lobster alfredo and the risotto of the day. The lobster alfredo was excellent, albeit a bit bland. The risotto however was outrageously salty. The manager was good enough to allow us to chose a different entree to replace the risotto-- the bolognese-- which was excellent. This is a really nice restaurant, with excellent waitstaff. It's a shame that what comes out of the kitchen can be somewhat hit-or-miss.

“Pricey, but worth it.”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

I live near Incontro so I'm there quite often. There are two dining areas in this retaurant; downstairs is much more formal. The steaks are outstanding, though the menu is somewhat limited. Upstairs there is a large bar with a large billiards area and numerous tables. The menu upstairs is much more reasonable and caters more towards appetizers. It's a much more relaxed atmosphere upstairs, though on busy nights it can get a bit loud (though not too loud). Very classy place. Parking can be an issue on the weekends. They have a valet or self park service, but the self parking is very limited so you ususally end up having to valet park. But two thumbs up overall.

“Overpriced, inconsistent food”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Some of the apps and entrees were good, some not so good. All choices and drinks were pricey. Despite these shortcomings, the place appears to do quite well.
