Restaurant was very busy on a Friday. We found the last parking place in the lot! Made reservations but had to wait 20 min for them to set up.
We ordered Calamari which had no flavor at all. Told the waiter which he automatically took off the bill, no haste at all. We also ordered the antipasti, eh not that great. 4 slices of meat, 3 slices of mozzarella 2 pieces of bread, olives and some peppers. Not worth the price.
Dinner was ok I just ordered the grilled shrimp with 2 sides of butternut squash and parmasean truffle fries. They looked like ordinary fries. Nothing homemade about them, wasn't impressed. Overall the atmosphere is very nice. They have a room upstairs that you can play pool and order off the menu. Didn't go up there though. Overall the place was ok. I've had much better Italian food.

Beautiful building, excellent decor, great service. Food Fair.
We went upstairs in the lounge and had a very nice time. Super atmosphere. Had Kobe sliders ordered medium and they came well done and ice cold. Salads nothing to rave about and over priced. If you order food upstairs chances are it will be cold by the time it gets carried upstairs.

We wanted very much to enjoy this restaurant. First, we had passed it many times and it was intriguing, an old stone mill converted to a restaurant and probably lots of atmosphere. Pizza, steaks and apparently great Italian food. And there was a Groupon good for 50% off. We are new to the area and are trying many of the restaurants. We originally made a reservation for the night Sandy was to hit but changed it to the prior evening. Amazing interior and we'd like to have spent a pleasant evening there. It was quiet at first and got busy shortly after we got there. We were seated immediately and the waitress shortly took our order. And then! They were out of the the first wine we chose. The scallop appetizer was minimal and lacked flavor (perhaps it needs to be a warm dish rather than a cold one). The bucatini puttanesca seemed to lack any finesse. It was watery, at times sour but did not lack for green and dark olives. We were never offered grated parmesan and it seemed to lack any capers or basil. My wife's shrimp dish was decently flavored but difficult to eat. The breaded shrimp including the tails and shell left on making it difficult to eat without picking it up. and they lacked some seasoning. We tried to get the waitress a few times but she was not to be seen. It got busy there. We'd like to try the place again as the menu is interesting and it is close by. But this time, not great

My wife finally convinced me to try Incontro again after a disastrous and insulting first visit two years earlier. I am pleased to report that none of the weirdness of our first visit was repeated. This second visit turned our to be quite relaxing and enjoyable. We were seated in the main dining area almost immediately with no hassles or objections. We finally got to see and experience what Incontro is all about. Service was outstanding and the food we ordered was very good and what you would expect, quality-wise, from a high-end restaurant. I'll admit that I'm still not too keen on the interior decor and the menu still seems to be unnecessarily complicated, but Incontro has finally made our list of very acceptable restaurants in the Franklin area.
