We wanted very much to enjoy this restaurant. First, we had passed it many times and it was intriguing, an old stone mill converted to a restaurant and probably lots of atmosphere. Pizza, steaks and apparently great Italian food. And there was a Groupon good for 50% off. We are new to the area and are trying many of the restaurants. We originally made a reservation for the night Sandy was to hit but changed it to the prior evening. Amazing interior and we'd like to have spent a pleasant evening there. It was quiet at first and got busy shortly after we got there. We were seated immediately and the waitress shortly took our order. And then! They were out of the the first wine we chose. The scallop appetizer was minimal and lacked flavor (perhaps it needs to be a warm dish rather than a cold one). The bucatini puttanesca seemed to lack any finesse. It was watery, at times sour but did not lack for green and dark olives. We were never offered grated parmesan and it seemed to lack any capers or basil. My wife's shrimp dish was decently flavored but difficult to eat. The breaded shrimp including the tails and shell left on making it difficult to eat without picking it up. and they lacked some seasoning. We tried to get the waitress a few times but she was not to be seen. It got busy there. We'd like to try the place again as the menu is interesting and it is close by. But this time, not great
