“Keep driving”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

You can see the ersatz Tudor style of the Sheraton Framingham from the Massachusetts Turnpike as you drive towards Boston. The attempt to replicate some kind of Elizabethan Castle is the most interesting aspect of this hotel. For the price that they charge for their rooms, you can do better.

Check in was smooth and efficient. The staff was almost unnaturally cheery, but perhaps I was tired from my drive. The lobby is large and had gas flames everywhere, in what was probably once pretty cool, but now looks a little dated. The different styles of rock and roll that were piped through the sound system were interesting but detracted from any potential for sophistication. The bar off of the lobby felt 80’s – like something out of "Saturday Night Fever.” Perhaps they were trying to be retro, but it just came off as out of step. At least they had a local beer.
The room itself was very large, but the décor was uninspired and the extra space just made the room feel cavernous. In addition, although the lighting may have been adequate in a smaller room, it was lost in this room. The television, a medium-sized flat screen, seemed tiny, but perhaps it was in relation to the size of room.
In contrast to the main room, the bathroom was tiny – it was one of those bathrooms where you have to close the door, not for privacy but because an open door takes up too much space. And yet, despite its size, the bathroom was still badly lit. The soaps and amenities were third-class, and the water pressure from the shower was anemic. It did seem clean, however.
In short, for the price they charged me, next time I will be inclined to keep going.

Stayed at this hotel last week while on a Comfort Tour to Boston..

First the good:

Beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was good. fresh omellettes
Internet in lobby worked fine.
Gave us rooms together side by each.

The Not so good:

Too far from Boston (half hour bus ride)
Elevators too slow.
Needs updating in bathrooms
In room internet charge is $10 a day.
Rooms not cleaned thoroughly.

It is not a hotel I would choose to return to if I ever return to Boston, however as a bus tour accomodation , I would say it is acceptable.

Recently stayed here for a three day conference. Front desk employees were very nice & made me feel welcome the moment I walked into the front lobby. Restaurant & conference rooms were all above average. The parking lot was full & had to park at the extreme low side of the lot. Elevators seemed slow at times. Only complaint would be the rooms. I stayed on the 4th floor and it seemed as if Every Door on the floor was being Slammed every time another guest entered or left. Woke me up several times during both nights. Couple of items that if addressed would have made my stay a little more comfortable. *Remedy the slamming door problem. *Add some sound proofing in the walls & floors (I could hear Way Too much from other rooms) *Update the beds to pillow top mattress's. *Add ice & snack machines on every floor.
If I have another conference to attend in the area I will check out other chain hotels in the area & then make a decision.

Room Tip: Ask to see if they any recently remodeled rooms with new beds.

I stay here often for business travel. The hotel is no-frills but perfectly adequate. The staff is friendly and familiar. The location is 5 minutes away from the Staples and Bose campuses.

The main elevators can be slow. Back elevators and stairs are good options.

The front parking lot can fill up quickly but there is parking in the back.

The hotel has recently been renovated. The lobby, restaurant and breakfast room are cleaner & brighter. The decor is a little curious, though.

When I first enter my room, I'll see a door hanger tag on my bed – something about "green" and not washing my towels & bedding every day. If I hang it on the door, I get a $5 coupon but it also means that I don't get any room service at all. This is not a big deal unless I've run out of bottled water or ground coffee for the in-room brewer.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front side of the building have bright spot lights shining on them. Blackout curtains h...

Ok it is more convenient to stay in Boston but when the 1 Star hotels start at $250 per night, rent a car and park at t stops then ride to Boston. The rates are much better and car rentals were abundant and inexpensive. The T charges $6-9 for a day of parking at several convenient stops. We have stayed at the SHERATON Framingham several times and had very good experiences.
Food is good, decor is lovely, convenient drive and good area. Even with problems, the staff goes the extra mile to help and alleviate issues.

Room Tip: If you need a bigger room, junior suites are wonderful!

Among the ten hotels on the tour, this was the only one that did not have free internet. They charge $9.95 per day, which is exorbitant in my opinion. There was also a leak in the bathroom directly above the toilet, which it turned out, was caused by showering with the curtain outside the tub in the room above. Then there was the very difficult thermostat, which I finally figured out where to set as there were no switch detents. While the front desk personnel were responsive to the leak, they were inflexible regarding internet access.

I just spent 4 days at this hotel and have nothing but positive things to say... The breakfast was above and beyond wonderful and staff were very pleasant especially those working the breakfast shift. The rooms were large and beds comfortable what more could I ask for! A great hotel would definitely recommend it.
