My husband, his sister, and I went here on 11/3/12. Being a Saturday, we decided to get there early (4:00) to get a good spot at the bar, and enjoy a cocktail before ordering an early supper. This was not necessary, since the bar was deserted. We sat down at the bar, and proceeded to wait an unacceptable amount of time for the unfriendly bartender to come over and ask what we wanted to drink. The bar was EMPTY, remember, even though there were college football games on. This should have sent up HUGE red flags. So there was no reason for any wait at all. He acted as if we were a huge inconvenience to him. When he brought the drinks, he didn't offer menus. We weren't in any hurry, so no big deal. Actually, we thought maybe it was a shift change, since he was counting out money, and another bartender came behind the bar. Well, it wasn't a shift change, as the first bartender remained on the job. When we got our second round of drinks, we begged for a menu, and that's what we received.....ONE MENU. HELLOOOOOOOO???? There were three of us! Whatever, we went with it, and shared the one menu. When we decided what we wanted for supper, we had to wait, again, for a LONG time before the second bartender came to take our order. The food did come quickly, and it was accurate, and decent....but nothing to write home about. The bartender gave us our check...IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR MEAL!!!! To me, this is also unacceptable. We were treated as if they couldn't wait to see us leave, however...that check, with our money, sat there for a VERY long time...through the rest of our meal and beyond. The bartenders both walked by several times, and looked at the check with the money, but didn't take it. We finally made our own change, leaving a very small tip, which is not something we ever do. On a side note, we didn't order Guinness, however, watched the bartender pour one at one point. One straight pour??? I think not. For an "Irish pub" bartender to not know how to properly pour a Guinness is sacriledge. We will never go to this horrible restaurant again. If it's still open in a month, I'll be absolutely amazed.

at the very least, at an irish pub you should be able to count on beef stew and shepard's pie being traditional and EXCEPTional, EXCEPT here. nice atmosphere, but that's it.

Typical Irish Pub, Nice Decor, A few TV'S scattered around, not the best for watching sports. Service was good. 3 of us sat @ bar, a few drinks, service was attentive, an older staff behind bar. Food was average, had Nachos, and a Rueben. Only bummer I was dbl charged on my credit card, wich I had to resolve with my bank. Otherwise a typical night in a wanna be Irish Pub

We just stumbled upon this restaurant while in Foxboro, MA What a great place. Perfect in every way, atmosphere, staff, food and drink. No complaints. We were in town for a hockey tournament and ended up back at Waxy's the following evening. So, good. Wish there were one closer to where we live.

I would recommended this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Irish pub or just a great restaurant. Even there take out food was perfect.
