“Has Changed a bit but still great”

When windfall first opened it had very little commerical items. It featured more "small" business items and locally produced product. Dont get me wrong you could still go in and buy Froot Loops if thats your thing, but they also had alot of organic items and the such.

The have changed a bit over the years adding more commericially made items and looking more like a regular grocery store.

The thing that sets them apart however is their deli, fish and meat selections. Their deli has some of the best sandwiches you can get. Made how you want them using all natural ingrediants. The fish and meat department are just the same, fresh off the boat seafood and meats that are grass fed and organic. You do pay a bit more, but if your planning a special meal, or entertaining its worth it.

On a whole they are a bit more expensive than Stop and Shop or Shaws, so for regular items like your froot loops or ice cream (unless you buy the local organic ice cream), you would be better off shopping at the big places in town, but for meats, seafood and deli items go here.

This was our local supermarket while we stayed in Falmouth and it had a wide choice of food, some very local to the area, and was reasonably priced. We preferred it to the Stop and Shop. The staff were very pleasant and there are restrooms if you need them.

I found the Windfall Market after many summer visits to Falmouth. Cape Cod Life recommended it so I gave it a try and now I only wish that I had found it before. Visit the Windfall even if you don't have full cooking facilities where you are staying. Their cranberry orange muffins and wide variety of cheeses and fruit make a great breakfast . They have a selection of salads and cut meats to go with the instore bakery bread and rolls for lunch. I tried the chicken salad and it was chock full of chicken making a great sandwich to take to the beach. If you have access to a microwave you really must try their clam chowder. You will also find a very large variety of prepared meals that just require heating. On top of this you will find that the market carries all that you will need in a self-catering unit, everything from soap to paper towels to beer and wine.
