“Great Trail but busy”

It was busy and people did not follow the "rules of the road". People would stop in the middle of the trail to talk, etc. People blocked the ability to cross intersections multiple times while they chatted with others. This was a safety issue with cars trying to drive through.

Mostly level, two way bike bath that has some very scenic sections along the lower part. Seems to get crowded on the weekends (we were on it on a Sunday). There are a few parking areas too along the length.

We are just starting to explore Rail to Trails. Family members recommended Shining Sea Bikeway and now we highly recommend it too! We loved the fact that it is paved and does not go onto the road at all. There are wonderful views of a variety of natural areas from a cranberry bog to ponds to lovely ocean views.

the shining sea bikeway makes getting to the beach and/or woods hole a easy ride. It can be crowded during summer weekends, but if you're careful, much safer than riding a bike on the road.

Great riding, super views, not too much cross traffic.
Its a must do in Falmouth.
Go early or late to avoid the small kids.
Stop in West Falmouth for snacks, lunch or dinner.
