“Gorgeous even in the rain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2013

Loaded up the bikes in the bright sunshine, made the twenty minute trek over to the bikeway path for my first visit, unloaded the bikes...Rain! Oh well. The views are still gorgeous, riding the bike along the water watching the storm and the lightning stroll over the water off in the distance. Great fun activity for all ages.

“Amazing Biking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2013

Have biked much of the Cape and Islands over the years. Spent a week on this bike path and love it. Everyday another place you could go (beaches, places to eat, etc). An easy path back and forth, with a good workout and not too many crowds. I will be back.

“Bikeway Bliss”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

A great place to walk, run, rollerblade, and of course bike. The Shining Sea Bikeway is a rail trail that spans just over 10 miles with spectacular views of Vineyard Sound, saltwater marshes, cranberry bogs, and much more. You can board the bikeway at several locations as it is long and might be better enjoyed in sections unless you do not mind the 20 mile roundtrip. If so, start in North Falmouth and ride to the village of Woods Hole, enjoy an ice cream, and then make the scenic trip back. Best during the shoulder months of the summer as it can be busy.

“Wow”

A paved bike path the width of a car along the Atlantic Ocean with Martha's Vineyard in the distance, need I say more. Doing this off season is best to avoid the crowd.

“Scenic bike path”

The ocean views are spectacular as well as cranberry bogs, salt marsh and berry bushes. The trail is pretty flat and is an easy 10 mile. Weekends can be crowded and busy.
