“Great afternoon activity!”

My husband and I parked in The lot off Depot Road in Falmouth and biked to Woods Hole and back, which was about seven miles round trip. The bike path was very scenic and easy...no major hills to navigate. It is clearly very popular so it does get a bit crowded....better for a leisurely ride since one has to be careful of small children on bikes and walkers. When we reached Woods Holenwe explored the town and found a delightful eatery called Pie in the Sky, which was perfect for iced coffee and delicious cookies. Great afternoon!

I can't say enough about the Shining Sea bikeway; if you don't take even a short trip on it you are missing out on some beautiful scenery. There are peaceful marshes, almost empty beaches and lots of other things to see. The path runs from North Falmouth to Wood's Hole and while you can do the whole path in several hours - you could also spend a day on it. Start off with breakfast in West Falmouth (there is a little ice cream and breakfast place by the path off of a trail) - relax by the marshes and watch birds, get refreshment from one of the mini-refreshment stands that have popped up along the path, walk around downtown Falmouth, spend several hours on the beach, and finish with dinner in Wood's Hole. Not to be missed!

Great, uncrowned bike path alongside the ocean. Biked from Falmouth Heights through Downtown Falmouth to Woods Hole and West Falmouth. Ride is mostly flat and easy riding.

The 3.5 mile ride from Falmouth (depot lot) to Woods Hole is the best ride! Flat and smooth, beautiful views and a delicious smoothie, pastry or yummy popover at Pie in the Sky at end of the ride...what could be better??!!

The bike trails allow you access to some of the most beautiful areas of Cape Cod cannot be seen by car. We have been going for years and I love their continued expansion of the project
