We took the path on foot from Falmouth to Wood's Hole, to get exercise, see the area, both forests and beaches, and limit our driving. It is quiet and pretty, with very little bike usage during the fall season, and more foot traffic. Not sure what it is like in the summer season, but probably still a good way to get outdoors and exercise.

Nice paved, fairly level trail through woods, marshes, bogs, nature preserves, towns and along the ocean (can be a pretty windy stretch) which ends at the Steamship Authority in Woods Hole. You can park your bike here and walk into town to explore some of the sites and grab a bite to eat. There are benches to rest at along the trail if you so desire and bathroom facilities spaced along the trail. The trail does go through some commercial areas, so you can grab some water if you happen to run out along the way. Great way to get a feel for the area. Used by local residents for running, dog walking, etc.

We come up to the Cape every summer for 50+ years now...this is just something that has become a regiment (spelling...?) this is how we start everyday unless we are traveling to another part of the cape...just a great heathy thing to do to burn off all of the calories we consume coming up here and constantly going out for meals ha ha...great views...you get to meet everyones dog and at the end of the trail (for us anyway) is Wood's Hole...great place to walk around town.

The bikeway made an excellent walkway, it wasn't crowded and the people I met were very friendly. I even noticed sighs for nearby business' if you needed anything along the way.

It is a trip worth taking-- Biking from Falmouth to Woods Hole. You can stop and detour to the beach at Falmouth. Woods Hole has the Oceanagraphic Institute and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. I took this many years ago it seems to me there are more houses along the way now as opposed to many years ago.
