“poor, salty food very disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

We recently went to the 99 on Rt 28 in Falmouth after much debate. We always go to CT when we are in a pinch or don't want to cook. This night we went to 99 with my friend complaining about 99's lousy food. I always have liked the 99. I have noticed the quantity and quality decline since it was bought from the original owners. I used to deal with the owner and he loved the 99 but the offer was just too good and he sold it. He stayed on with the 99 as he was under contract for "x" amount of years. The new company has destroyed the menu. We had the chicken dinner. It used to have three big fried chicken breasts. Now it masquerades by using large chicken tenders, overcooked, dry and so salty its almost uneatable. If you have a problem with salt don't go to the 99. All their meals are so salty its almost ludicrous. Anyway, I'll probably go back and complain to myself about their food when in a pinch. However, my friend she won't go back.

“gone downhill--very disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

Used to like going to the Ninety-Nine, but have had several bad experiences during recent visits. Ordered fried shrimp one time and had to return them because they tasted as if the entire contents of a salt shaker had been dumped on them. I literally gagged on my first bite. More recently I ordered a turkey club sandwich, something I've always loved for its tasty turkey, crisp bacon, and hearty wheat bread and fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Obviously N-N has decided to spend less on its ingredients. The bread was roughly half the previous thickness and was limp rather than crisply toasted. The lettuce was also limp and definitely not fresh, and the tomato slices were microscopic. Bacon was hard and tough, turkey too salty. Also, I followed my usual practice and order broccoli instead of fries. Broccoli was mushy and about half the amount I had usually gotten in the past. (I found similar deficits in another Ninety-Nine I subsequently visited.) Sad to see a place I had gone 8-10 times a year become a place I want to avoid.

“Love the 99 chain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

Even though this is right in tourist town we still got great service and really good food. We are going to miss these when we go back home to the UK. We had the smothered tips and the ribs which are both so good. Great value for money and good atmosphere too.

Consistently great food, good service and kid friendly. My family and I come to the cape often in the summer and we love this 99

“Typical Roadside Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

My wife and I stopped in here during a sight-seeing tour for lunch. The food was good, but the service was a little sloppy. It took a manager to get the order right. They were not fully accommodating. We will try this brand at another location, but wouldn't go back to this location again.
