Description: Since 1992 Oysters Too has been serving fresh seafood along with a nice selection of steaks, chicken, salads and pasta dishes. We make our own stocks and soups and you can taste the difference. Most of our entrees include a salad, fresh vegetable and choice of potato. Our atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing, casual dress is fine. In cooler months we have fireplaces in two dining rooms. On weekends enjoy the piano music of our talented players while dining or simply with your favorite beverage in the lounge.

“Boring menu, everything has bread crumbs”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

I was hoping for something more interesting as this restaurant was recommended by a local. Boring menu with breadcrumbs on everything. Expensive for what you got - there are much better places to go if you are going to spend that much money.

Just want the readers to know that we have multiple entrees on our menu that do not contain breadcrumbs, in addition, any of our entrees can be ordered without crumbs, just mention it to your server.

Currently on our regular menu and special page we have the following entrees without breadcrumbs, Native Striped Bass, Seafood Diavolo, Filet Surf and Turf, Lobster Salad, Seafood Mediterranean, Swordfish,, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Boiled Lobster, Prime Rib (Fri and Sat), New York Sirloin, Rump Steak, Filet Mignon, Lamb Chops, Chicken Piccata, Veal Piccata, Chicken Marsala, Veal Marsala, Roast Duck, Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken or Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken or Grilled Shrimp.

Also, it should be mentioned that our entree prices include a house salad, fresh vegetable and choice of potato. Many restaurants do not include all three in their entree price. We have approximately 20 entrees on our menu price at $25 or less, most include salad, potato and fresh vegetable, (fried entrees are served with coleslaw and french fries)

“Very mixed feelings”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We were driving by Oysters Too and stopped for dinner, the service was good from Allie and that was the highlight of the evening. Next was the soup, very good - I ordered a Seafood Broil and half of the bowl was Ritz crackers, and a small assortment of fish for $28 dollars plus an up charge of $2 for asparagus (5 small stalks) and a dollar up charge for a small bowl of soup vs. a salad - the price far exceed the average fair and the up charges on top of it was over the top. The facility was average in atmosphere and a bit noisy.

A return visit is not anticipated.

Just for clarification, here is what seafood is in the seafood broil:

2 Shrimp (u-15 size, a little over an ounce each)
2 oz. fresh sea scallops
2 oz. fresh lobster meat
3 oz. fresh fish (most always cod)

Total seafood is 9.25 oz.

The dinner is priced at $25.95 and INCLUDES salad, fresh vegetable and choice of potato.

Customers have the option of substituting, at no charge, a cup of soup for the salad, if the customer wants quahog chowder instead of the soup we add $1 because of the significantly higher cost of making chowder versus soup

The fresh vegetable of the day is included with the meal at no extra charge. If a customer does not want the particular vegetable the day we do offer asparagus, which we have on hand in limited quantities for our Oscar entrees.

The asparagus has never been intended a free substitute for the vegetable of the day, we are simply trying to accomodate those who don't care for broccoli or green beans or whatever the vegetable of the day happens to be.. We do have a $2 charge, which the servers states, if someone asks if they can order something other than the vegetable of the day. the customer also has the option of ordering, extra potato for no extra charge, if they simply don't care for vegetables at all.

In summary, the entree contains 9.25 ounces of seafood and is priced at $25.95 including salad, fresh vegetable of the day and choice of potato.

I know we are competitively priced for our area, especially when one considers we serve fresh seafood and that the entrees include salad, vegetable and potato.

“EXCELLENT MEAL HERE”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Happened to stop early, and "Early Bird" was available. Good selections, and excellent price for early bird items, which included desert & coffee. The regular menu was significantly higher. Service was top-notch, and mixed drinks were good.

“A great place to eat on Route 28 east of downtown Falmouth, MA”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

We've driven by this restaurant many times and often commented that we ought to try it. Last night we did just that and wished we had done so sooner.

We had a little trepidation, as the hostess was at the bar talking to a couple she appeared to know and paid us no heed for almost 5 minutes. Once she did turn and come our way we were immediately seated and the experience from then on was totally positive.

Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient, took our drink orders and brought them back quickly and gave us adequate time to decide on our food choices. Unfortunately my first choice was a sold out steamer special, so I had the calamari and a Caesar Salad. My wife had a salmon dish that was grilled, Ritz encrusted, served with béarnaise sauce and accompanied with a baked potato and garden salad.

When the food came it was well presented, but the waitress and I had a laugh as the calamari was sent out with béarnaise sauce instead of marinara; a situation that was quickly corrected. My wife thought the salmon was excellent. My Caesar was very large and very well dressed and fresh crushed pepper was right there for my pleasure.

Our overall experience was that this rather rustic and quite charming restaurant was one that we will visit again soon. The food was very good, but some might consider it a bit pricy with entrees mostly in the mid $20-30 range.

I should add that they also had a piano player entertaining during the meal.

“Shratch this one off your list!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

We should have known when we drove into the parking lot and there were no cars! The meal was very average with a very high price. The place looked old and dirty and can use a face lift. Don't waste your money or calories.
