“No idea what 'Scrod' is, but would have it again...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

On our hotel's recommended list, The Quarterdeck is dimly-lit, has an atmospheric bar covered in Emergency Services Staff Shoulder patches and staffed by helpful people. Falmouth seems a bit of a tourist trap so the prices are maybe a little high for what you get, but what we did get was tasty, seemed typically American (which was the point of going there) and we enjoyed a friendly experience with other diners with whom we enjoyed a good chat.
The menu looked good and the Lobster that our neighbours had looked even better. Would go again, no problem.

Staff was really great. Kids all loved their food, which is rare.
Entree fish dishes were awesome! Worth a stop. Got to meet owner Bob who is a great guy.

“Two Times made it a Charm!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2014

There are many different reviews about this place but our visits, yes twice in one week, were very good. At first we could not locate it, you can drive past it very quick on this little busy street. BTW, there is street parking in the front and it should be noted that NOWHERE on the whole street is there any METERED PARKING. Back to the review. We first went for lunch. We started with a lobster, clam and corn chowder which was excellent – a bigger bowl and that would have been a meal in itself!

That was followed by the lobster salad or lobster roll and the fried seafood platter. The lobster salad was excellent with the right amount of seasoning, not too much. The seafood platter was good but not extraordinary. This was topped off with warm rum cake with nuts and whip cream, which was just as good.

We went a second time the day before we were to return home. We started with the Crab Cake, just one but it worked for two people. Two would have been nice though. I ordered the surf and turf, lobster and steak and the seafood pot pie was the other entrée ordered. Both were cooked to perfection. Our recommendation is to visit this restaurant. Of note, is that the lunch menu extends to 4:30pm instead of 4pm like most restaurants.

Each time we sat in the back restaurant portion in front of the stained glass. Our spot!

“Lobster roll heaven!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014 via mobile

We have tried lobster rolls all over. The QD's lobster salad sandwich is the best. Easily. The small version is enough for the average person. The large is enormous. Could be split between two people. The fries are excellent, as is the cole slaw. The staff is friendly and helpful. We went there twice over the holiday weekend. We'll be back!

“Mediocre overpriced resort restaurant”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

We were in early Sunday for a dinner before fireworks. Had a decent SAMs lager and iced tea. Waitress seemed to rush abit but was ok. Caesar salad was standard and a lobster bisque was chunky but tasty( at 6$ for a cup. The swordfish for 28$ was just ok with a weird anchovy butter and crust. The double baked potato was disgusting with ok cole slaw. My wife's day boat scallops were fair( they didn't say what day) accompanied by over cooked broccoli and the double baked. All in all not good value( and they forgot to give us rolls). 99 restaurants are better
