Description: Jim and Gwyn Murray have created a restaurant where unforgettable evenings are made. This charming, historical landmark enjoys the finest reputation for romantic candlelight dining, live jazz, and sophisticated nightlife. Highly recommended by Falmouth's finest B&B's and hotels as an establishment of consistently extraordinary cuisine. Open year round enjoy our roaring fireplaces, antique pub in the cooler months or our cabana bar, large screened porch or air conditioned formal dining room during the warmer months.

Unfortunately the Nimrod has closed permanently. It will be missed, here's hoping the family who created such a welcoming place has success in the future.

Food was excellent especially the mushroom appetizer. Had it 10/6/12 and still thinking about it. Surf and turf, crab cakes, chocolate cake and mud pie were wonderful. Bouillibaise was good too but was mostly mussels and not too much fish. Would have been ok if my husband liked mussels. Nice piano bar.

The Nimrod has a surprisingly wide menu with some really fine choices. We were there with a large group last week and everyone was very happy with his/her meal. The piano bar is very popular, especially with the older crowd. The staff is great--attentive and super friendly--and the atmosphere is Old New England, literally. The building dates to the 17th century and sustained damage in the War of 1812. Well worth a visit.

I recently traveled to the cape and had a chance to visit The Nimrod Restaurant. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The service was prompt and the food presentation far exceeded our expectations. This off the beaten path restaurant was a very pleasant find. We will absolutely return and will recommend this establishment to our friends.

After dinner tonight my wife and I felt compeled to write a review of one of our favorite resturants on the Cape. The menu selection is superb. The atmosphere in the building is charming as well as historic. The staff goes out of their way to ensure your dinning experience is top shelf. The food happens to be some of the best we have encountered on Cape Cod, yet it is also priced fairly. The drinks are also varied and good. The deserts are scrumcious as well. We find that this is one of Falmouth's little secrets. It is off the beaten path yet easy to find. If you have never been to this fine resturant you owe it to yourself to enjoy some fine dinning on Cape Cod. I find it very hard to believe some of the negative reviews.
