“Best beach in town”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

Usually in the lee from prevalent SW breeze, so the beautiful sandy beach on Buzzards Bay seldom has waves too big for young families. Large parking lots for both residents & pay-by-day visitors as well as a beach house with toilets, shower & snack bar. Although the life guards are good here, avoid swimming in front of or across the opening of the creek/marsh area as there is sometimes a rip that will take you too far off shore.

“Great Famliy Beach”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

Old Silver Beach is a great family beach. There is parking, but get there early to get a spot, people queue-up pretty quickly. There are also bathrooms and a ice cream truck. Lovely sunsets.

Great beach, with clean sand, warm clear water. Lovely sunsets and conveniently located close to Falmouth and Martha's Vineyard ferries.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

We wanted to walk along the beach, for about an hour. Parking was $20 for the day. Another parking lot we tried was only for residents with a sticker.

“Great Family Beach !!!”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

After a terrible experience in Sandy Neck Beach, we decided to move to this one and we were so happy of what we found. Apart for the $20 parking fee, the place is beautiful and very well equip with bathrooms and showers. The water is clean with some big rocks that you can easily avoid, the temperature was ideal (not cold and not too warm) and there are plenty of different depths for the young and the not so young to enjoy.Next time i will go after 3:30 pm when there is no parking charge and less people, we stayed until 6 pm and it was still very nice to enjoy.
Highly recommended for a family day at the beach!!!!!!
