A hidden gem, for sure. This was a private estate that has become a cultural gem in Falmouth. We were there for the recent Bluegrass concert, outside on the lawn, but also enjoyed the wonderful mosaic exhibit inside. There are kids events here, concerts, lectures, nature walks, cooking classes, art exhibits...really something for everyone!

“Superb historical, architectural, arts, and cultural center”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

I went there to take a mosaic workshop. The sunken gardens, the fairy houses, and historic trees were simply amazing! And in this time there is a wonderful mosaic art exhibit!!

“Beautiful setting, wonderful cultural center”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

Take a break from the beach and head up the hill to see a great restored home that now houses art and activities. Set in a green forest of trees and pretty manicured gardens, it is a cool respite from the summer heat.

“An Arts and Cultural Center of Note”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

This building was transformed from a ruin to a gem of Victorian architecture -- so it's now an arts and cultural programs center for Falmouth residents and visitors alike. in the Hall there is also a display that tells the story of the prominent Beebe family who lived there in the late 19th c.
There's always something to interest us and the staff is making a strong attempt to develop programs for kids too. We'll be back every month this year. Their opening in late November through December is really a knockout effort to bring summer people back to Highfield for the holidays.

HH is an important destination for visitors who want to see how philanthropy and volunteerism are hallmarks of Falmouth culture.
