I was nervous about this resort after reading the reviews and am so glad I ignored them and went despite some of the negative comments. This was by far the best vacation we have had in Falmouth and I've been going for over 25 years. The accomodations are perfect! We had a queen bed, a pull out couch, good cable along with a nice TV and DVD player (a bonus if you have kiddos along or want to have a movie night with your sweetie), plus a kitchen area that was stocked with all the dishes, silverware, etc. for your meals and essentials (paper towels, can opener, toaster oven-the nice kind you can heat up things in and even broil items with, microwave, etc.) and even had a few stools too. The bathroom was great too and included a bathtub with shower which is important if you have kiddos who are little like I do.The shower was always hot and if you run out of towels the front desk is always happy to give out more. I am a clean freak and loved how clean the room was from the moment we opened the door. I am not sure why others have said it seems dated, everything looked new to us and in excellent condition. While we were staying there the handymen were painting in the mornings and making repairs on a daily basis. This place is kept up great! There's also a great patio with a slider door and chairs and table set too so you can enjoy some meals outside. We brought our fold down picnic table for the kids which worked out awesome. Some other benefits for those of you with kiddos to staying here are the kids daily activities -you sign them up for craft activities, things like a beach walk, (specific days before the weekend rush I think). Some other benefits were there are two pools in this resort (our room was poolside -the outdoor one-which we loved!!!), one is indoor and the other outdoor. There's also bocci ball, tennis courts, and shuffleboard available, a kids playground thats fenced with a cool pirate boat playground equipment, swings, slides, picnic table, etc. Theres a little private beach behind the playground you walk down the steps to and can go fishing off the rocks or just hang out on the beach and walk, its a little beach and once tide comes in there's less area to walk but great to check out in the am. There's a beach directly across the street from this resort which is awesome! You can see if from many of the rooms its so close and some rooms in the front have a great view of the ocean. You are literally seconds away from walks on the beach or swims at the beach with your family. You can't beat water on three sides of your resort with ocean breezes surrounding you every time you open your door to step outside! Another great part, you don't have to worry about parking because you have a spot at the resort so you walk across to the beach with your stuff which is a huge plus for any of you who have ever had to use the meters across town at Falmouth Heights beach and lug all your stuff. Another cool thing was the resort had a barbecue night when we were there which included hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, snacks, and ice cream w/ toppings for dessert for just $4 for each adult and completely free for kids. How cool is that? They did all the work and you pay at checkout. No hassle! We loved this location and loved the accomodations. Our kids met so many nice kids to play with and the other families we met were fabulous. It was perfect in every way. There are a few things to mention that some may not appreciate: the air conditioner doesn't work the best if you keep it in the 70's you have to drop that baby down a few extra degrees to notice the cool air. Make sure whoever sleeps next to it brings an extra blanket, you won't want to shut it off when your temps are in the 90's even though it is an energy saver to do so. The room heats up fast on such a day. We are so happy this location even has air conditioning we are not picky. It is not always a given in the Falmouth area (which we have found out the hard way in the past). Another thing to mention if you want your bedding changed you must ask. We stayed for 5 days and the bedding didnt get changed any of those days for the queen bed. Totally green and we get it so not a deal breaker for us, but could be annoying if you have a lot of sand and dirt getting in your sheets every day. The maids did leave us new sheets for the pull out couch when we threw them in our pile of dirty clothes so maybe if you need new sheets just pull them off and put them with your dirty towels.
None of us wanted to leave when our trip was over and that was because this resort was so family friendly and really had the whole package. The staff that works here is always smiling and readly to help you in any way they can another plus for us. This will be our first choice every year when we vacation in Falmouth. Thank you so very much for the awesome memories InnSeasons Resorts Surfside. You truly deserve an A+++++ rating. :)
