“Lively... And Good guacamole”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2014 via mobile

A lively place! Service was ok. Felt as though we were passed over for other guests until i pushed us in-due to tired kids. Good margarita! Chimichanga was ok. Had a bit of the canned refried beans taste but a large portion. Chips and salsa were good. Chicken tacos featured breaded chicken -frozen? Pricey for a Mexican place. Good for drinks and a snack.

“Worth the Wait”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2014

We recently visited Anejo twice during our week long vacation. Great main street location and very popular with long wait times. But it is DEFINETELY worth the wait. They give you a pager so that you can shop the cute main street stores while you wait. We had the blackened Maui special, lobster enchiladas and my husband and I's favorite pescado encornfleco!!! Great margaritas!!

“Anejo Mexican worth the wait”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

We had dinner at Anejo in Falmouth, MA on Wednesday July 9, 2014 on the last night of our vacation. We arrived at 7:30 and found many empty parking spots right out front of the restaurant. We took this as a very positive sign as we had heard Anejo was very popular and always had a wait. So we were thinking it would not be so bad since it was late on a Wednesday and the streets of downtown Falmouth seemed quiet. It was just two of us so we were told it would be about a 40 minute wait. We got our pager and were able to browse the boutiques near by. The one issue we had is that there was only two of us. There are plenty of tables for four people but only a few two seaters. We saw foursomes get seated who had come in after us however groups of 4 who arrived just 15 minutes after us were told they had over an hour wait. We ended up waiting 1 hour and were seated outside just past the main patio area on the side of the building where we were the only table other than resort like sofas that were set up for people to have drinks while they waited. It was a neat little area. The wait was well worth it!!! Our waitress was friendly, attentive and efficient. We were given chips and salsa that were delicious and different than most places. Anejo chips were thick, crunchy and overall delicious. The house margarita was perfect. My daughter had a chicken burrito with rice and re-fried beans and she said it was fresh, delicious, just the right spiciness and amount of chicken stuffing. I had an amazing lobster filled enchilada with a light chipotle cream sauce. The mix of flavors was incredible. I can't stop thinking about it! We definitely will return to Anejo and wait any amount of time for a seating. We will just plan to shop more while we wait. I would also recommend going as a foursome or larger group. Get drinks and weather permitting sit outside on the sofas to socialize while you wait. Just don't load up on the delicious chips because you will want every bite of your meal. Also order the "made at your table" guacamole. We did not get it but it looked delicious and obviously very fresh! No matter the wait, stick it out and you won't regret it!
