My Wife and I were on a 2 day trip to Cape cod this past Sept. Being as we did not have a lot of time we wanted to see as much as we could. We stayed at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel which by the way is a Great Hotel with a terrific staff. Our second day there we wanted to see Martha's Vinyard so we took the Island Queen over to Oak Bluff. We had a great ride over the servine was on time back and forth.Staff was pleasent and helpfull.

We took the Island Queen to the Martha's Vineyard.Vineyard. The trip only takes 45 minutes and the boat has snacks and rest rooms, inside seating and outside seating. Once on the island, go for the local bus not the guided tour. The local bus goes to all points of interest on the island, the schedule is very difficult to understand, but the drivers are very helpful. We are not shoppers so there is very little to see on the island. The villages are quaint with cutesy little shops. We had a nice lunch in Edgartown.

The Ferry was just fine. Like any other ferry. But they have a Tour you can book through them on the ferry. It is the bus (narrated) tour of the Island. Don't do it! $33 and it was awful. On a school bus that made one stop at the cliffs. You could not hear the bus driver clearly and he spoke in a monotone...unenthusiastic to say the least. The Island is beautiful. We could have used that 2 1/2 hours!

The ferry should not promote a poor tour. It gives them a bad name. If we had seen the bus, we would not have signed up.

Thank you very much for writing your review. The Island Queen does not own or operate the sightseeing tours. All of the ferry companies serve as ticket agents for Martha's Vineyard Sightseeing Company as that company does not have a physical presence on Cape Cod and visitors want the comfort of knowing they can secure tickets before arriving on Martha's Vineyard.

If you would be willing, we would very much appreciate your submitting a review for your Island Queen experience on TripAdvisor with the appropriate rating for your experience. We take our ratings and reviews very seriously and hope that the Island Queen vessel and its crew at the dock and on the boat might receive a higher rating than two stars.

Regarding the sightseeing tour I urge you to review that company separately on TripAdvisor and contact them directly with your concerns to Martha's Vineyard Sightseeing at 508-693-1555.

Thank you very much and I hope the Island Queen has the opportunity to welcome you aboard in the future.

Ferry ran very on time in both directions (Falmouth - Oak Bluff, Martha's Vineyard). Boat was clean, and a fantastic view enroute. The only downside is that cash only and does not accept credit cards.
