Quick trip to Oak Bluffs from Falmouth Harbor. Expensive as you have to pay $15 to park then for the ferry. Ride was smooth no issues there. Wait was long and we left late leaving and returning. After a long day we were very tired and we had to wait in a long line. Answer we received was that boat had been running late all day as it was the 4th of July week. All in all think twice about to Martha's Vineyard in a busy time as it's so congested I'm not sure it's quite worthwhile, Oak Bluffs is OK but Edgartown is nicer and less tacky. Not much on the island you can't have in Falmouth.

This is a great time and a fantastic ride for $20 per adult. Loads of fun on Martha's Vineyard. This boat travels at a comfortable but fast speed and it is about a 30 minute ride from Falmouth to Woods Hole. They sell drinks on board and have a full bar available on the first floor. The ride is always smooth and I never feel sea sick. They also allow bikes for an additional fee which i s a great way to get around Martha's Vineyard for cheap.

Thank you FunInTheSun for joining us aboard the Island Queen and your review of our service. Just one quick correction is that you mentioned Woods Hole as your destination by mistake, as we provide travel between Falmouth and Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard. Thank you again. the ferry is convenient with access to martha's vineyard from woods hole (bus transportation is available from falmouth). But, the ferry is very slow. It takes about 45 minutes. The ferry is huge with food and numerous decks. it stops at vineyard hall and oak bluffs.

we had a nice smooth boat ride which my gf gets sea sick from rough ride but she felt great on the ferry. The company is very timely and nice, and i would use the ferry again next time i want to go to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.

Dock is close to downtown Falmouth. We were staying at another Innseason Resort so were we parked at Harborview (just down the street) for free. This ferry doesn't run late so if you want to do dinner on MV, you will have to come back on Steamship Authority, which only droops off in Jackson Hole. The 2 ferry docks are about 5 miles apart so you will need to grab a cab or take one of Steamship's shuttles out to the remote parking and walk the remainder of the way back to your original departure point.
