As a resident of W. Tisbury, which this restaurant borders, I have found it a great place for a casual meal with friends. The pizzas, on flatbread, are inventive with local ingredients--veggies and meats alike from Martha's Vineyard. I like pizza without tomato sauce, and Flatbread offers several possibilities that fall into that category. My favorite is the one with homemade sausage, but there are others. Every night brings a different 'carne' and 'veggie' special also. The brick oven, built by communal effort a few years ago, is open to view. Many nights there is music. On Tuesdays the restaurant gives part of its proceeds to a local worthy nonprofit. (They are often crowded then by that group's supporters.) And, since WT is essentially a dry town (tho there are now two exceptions) it's great to be able to get beer or wine with one's pizza. Rustic and friendly, individual and large pizzas available at reasonable prices. Visitors to MV who want to eat where locals do, take note! It's conveniently and centrally located on the airport access road.
