We had planned on taking the ferry to Chappaquidick, so wanted to take a picnic lunch as we could find no reference to restaurants or diners there. We took a variety of prepared food from Edgartown Seafood- Lobster, scallop and fried oyster rolls and shrimp and fish and chips. This take out seafood market is owned by the Larsens whom we assume are the same or connected to the Menemsha establishment of the same name so the seafood as could be expected was good. All were freshly prepared , quite excellent, and went well with the ladies' pouilly fume and our beers. In the event we abandoned the ferry , daunted by a one hour line, and went to the beach by the Edgartown lighthouse instead where suprisingly we found an easy car parking spot and a sparcely populated but pleasant sand beach. We can recommend either or both.
