“Good casual atmosphere and food”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

I really enjoyed this establishment. Thumbs up to our server, Zach. He gave great beer recommendations and was ver personable! The oysters were fresh and the sandwiches were big enough for two! We would definitely go back.

“2 nights is a row!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We live here and had dinner at The Port Hunter 2 nights in a row last week and the food and service was terrific. Good drinks, excellent wine selection. Crispy Calamari, loved the lobster eggrolls. Very attentive staff and owners. Perfect salads and local oysters on the half-shell. ... Can't wait to go back.

“Neat New Place!”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

SO EXCITED! This neat new place in E-town was teriffic! The fish-n-chips & lobster roll were just awesome and the oysters were almost the best on the Island! This place has a great location in Etown but is a little noisy if you are sensitive to hi-pitched voices. We were OK with it and enjoyed the energy of the place! Server was on-pointe and courteous! We WILL return!

“Great Food, but Need to Work on the Atmoshphere”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

The food was really good (lobster egg roll and oyster pooh boy), but the atmosphere is kind of stark. It's a big space with lots of brick and not much decoration. They really need to warm it up, maybe with some art on the walls. It's also quite dark. I had to use a flashlight to read the menu. Service was good. What was a bit outrageous is that they don't serve coffee. Why would they do that? if you are ordering their very good desserts it would be nice to have a cup of coffee. Seems crazy to me.

“Best in town”
Reviewed September 2, 2012 via mobile

This only opened last year but will immediately if not sooner surpass all other edgartown restaurants. Without the overpriced and undeserved prestige of l'etoile it is undeniable the most enjoyable atmosphere & food in town. Get the homemade ice cream sandwich-make your own with gingersnap or thyme cookies
