Lots of parking if you arrive early (got there at 9:30am the end of June and there were many openings). Very easy to access the beach and it is great for families with small children as there are gentle waves and no steep drops. The sand is a bit cluttered with shells, stones, and seaweed but it wasn't a problem to find a clear spot to set-up. We were able to park right near one of the boardwalk entrances and could easily make trips back and forth to the car. The only real drawback here is there aren't any bathrooms.
It's worth it to note that there are benches and picnic tables along the beach and it's carry in/carry out. Unfortunately, we noticed a lot of disgusting people leaving their trash on the beach. This is not only bad for the environment but it attracts animals and gulls who rip it apart and make an even bigger mess.
