Perfect location a block off the Main Street in Edgartown.

The food is above and beyond what you typically get at a bed and breakfast. There was fresh cornbread and raspberry butter at breakfast! The savory tomato Benedict was ok.

The afternoon cookies changed daily and were soft and warm!

Point off since there were several tiny ants in our room/bathroom.

We stayed here for two days in August and had two rooms: 2 and 14. 14 is an AMAZING room with king bed and a fantastic terrace overlooking the garden and South Water Street. Our room wasn't as spectacular (ground floor) but we mostly hung out in the other room with our friends. Love the idea of sherry in a decanter in your room (but one small hint to the inn- buy Spanish sherry, not cheap sherry from CA -- that's not really sherry and real sherry isn't much more $). The service was beyond amazing - they did EVERYTHING for us and really cared that we were happy and cared for. Breakfast outside in the garden is lovely, food was great (we loved the Mexican eggs) and the staff is fantastic and will help you with anything you need. It's nice to be in a place where they care deeply about their guests. Room service/cleaning was first rate.
We really couldn't be happier with our choice - you are a two minute or less walk from the shops in Edgartown, right next to a bike rental shop and the inn is beautiful and well appointed!
What a great stay! Don't stay anywhere else. Afternoon tea was great too and they even provide umbrellas which came in handy as it was raining!

Room Tip: 14 if you want a king bed

We booked at the last minute and were fortunate to get a small room with twin beds, at least. The owners and staff are all exceptionally thoughtful, engaging and make you feel at home. Aside from the house itself and location being perfect, little things like breakfast on the patio, a decanter of port with glasses in each room and afternoon tea and cookies add that extra touch of special.

My wife and I spent a couple of days on the Vineyard, vacationing and having a chance to see our son play baseball for the MV Sharks. We spent a night at the Victorian Inn. Nicest people, fabulous location, and a wonderful room. To boot, the breakfast was outstanding.

Thank you Stephen for your hospitality.

This place just feels like a hug. I noticed this stately property attracting the attention of mere passers-by, and they hadn't even ventured in. When you do, however, you experience an immediate sense of how attentive Stephen & Karyn are to detail. Each room I saw was charming, welcoming and beautifully decorated. We chose Room 14 which was perfect for us. Both Steve & Karyn were attentive, friendly, helpful and engaging. I also appreciated observing how nicely they interacted with their excellent staff. I am not a morning person but happily set my alarm to be in place, in their lovely garden, for what was consistently a delicious breakfast experience. Yes, "experience". It was just a glorious way to begin each day! Stephen, the comedian of the family (you'll see), is full of interesting Martha's Vineyard background information that we found helpful in getting a sense of this place, its history and how things currently work there. We also learned quickly the value of relying upon their recommendations. They know the island so do listen to them! They didn't send us anywhere we didn't thoroughly enjoy. They were also great at anticipating needs; not waiting for us to ask. The cleaning person noticed a bottle of wine we'd purchased. When we returned to our room, we found a note that said our wine was being chilled and to ring the bell when we wanted it delivered back to our room. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

Room Tip: We were in Room 14 and loved it! We did get an opportunity to catch a glimpse of most of the rooms...

We always stay at the Vic.. It's such a cousy place, in which you will get the yummiest brekkies prepared with love, just as your mum would do for you!
Rooms are all very nicely decorated, spotless and quiet.
Keepers will be pleased to give you any tips about the island, they know the place as good as the palm of their hand! I highly recommend you to stay in this beautiful hotel!

Room Tip: #7 has a lovely terrace!!

I can honestly say we have lost track of how many times we have stayed with Karyn and Stephen but we will keep returning. This is a lovely inn located right in the heart of Edgartown close to shops and a wide variety of dining ranging from simple pizza to fine dining all within a short walk. The inn keepers are a joy to get to know and have never lost site of how important it is that their guests truly enjoy the stay. Karyn's breakfast's are top notch and they will always go to any lengths to accommodate the tastes of their guests. (be sure to load up on Blueberry muffins and raspberry butter) Meticulously clean and perfectly decorated with period furniture and accessories, we couldn't ask for more.

Room Tip: We particularly enjoy room 11, it is on the top floor looking out over the bay. if you are a light...
