How great to have your breakfast on the only remaining grass runway left in America. Watch biplanes take off while enjoying what may be the best breakfast on the island!

We love the Right Fork Diner! We had a great breakfast on a foggy October morning.

The food was fantastic, as was the service. You also can't beat the view of the Katama Airfield.

The staff was very attentive as well! Wert loved the stories of the pieces if shirts on the wall commemorating first solo flights.

We can't wait to get back next year!

The atmosphere was comfortable and we enjoyed being able to watch the activity on the airfield. However, our dining experience was less than average. To be fair, we had breakfast there on the last day that they were open for the season. They were out of bacon, sausage and several other things that kind of left a big hole in the breakfast menu. We had french toast, which was not bad, but nothing special. Many other better choices for a great breakfast in the area.

The Right Fork Diner is a must when you go to Marthas Vineyard. What could be better than enjoying a delicious meal while sitting outside on a spacious patio, that is open a beautiful grass airstrip protected by the Nature Conservancy? While your dine, bi-planes take off and land right in front of you and the excitement for all ages is electric. More importantly, not only is the breakfast and lunch food outstanding, but if you have no time to spare on your way to the beach...just use the convenient take out window or grab some ice cream for your kids on the way home from the beach. Owners Jaime and Merrill Langley took over the restaurant about 4 years ago and they have changed the menu, decor and chef to make the hot spot on the island for many travelers and regulars like me. I have been spending summers in Marthas Vineyard my whole life, adn have been eating at this diner for over 20 years but now Jaime and Merrill have stepped it up to a level of great food and service with out taking away the charm of the "first flight" ripped t-shirts on the wall...which make it a special place to be...enjoy.

It's become a tradition at our house to have a late breakfast at Right Fork Diner every Sunday morning. The food is always wonderful, the service cheerful and great, the coffee is terrific, the french toast is what we dream about all week, and the atmosphere, the view, the feeling of utter delight when we're there is what brings us back again and again. EVERYTHING is good here, with some standouts like the french toast, The Aviator (which will feed a very hungry person quite well and does so at our house once a week!), the cobb salad (my favorite is with chicken), the lobster roll, the hamburger (heck, I should just write down the whole menu!). The owner, Jamie Langley, is a complete treasure and pleasure and they have an awesome new system whereby you can call in your reservation ahead of time and they text you when your table is ready. It's a great alternative to standing outside and waiting, but even standing outside and waiting is part of the fun when you get a cup of coffee from the takeout window and watch the planes come and go at Katama Airfield. Right Fork Diner, you are a true treasure on this island and we'll be sad when you close for the season.
