We returned to the Midway Motel after a one-year hiatus and found the same wonderful place we had enjoyed in 2010. Nothing had changed (except the sign out front) and that's exactly the way we liked it. We even had our same room-the Captain's Quarters- which was spotless and welcoming as usual. Sally and her staff were friendly and hospitable, and our stay could not have been any more enjoyable than it was. We tried different restaurants based on Sally's recommendations, and they were very pleasing to our tastes. I can't express enough our utmost pleasure at being treated as family rather than simply paying guests. Cape Cod in autumn is delightful, uncrowded, and blessed with clear skies an cool temperatures. The Midway Motel is the BEST place to stay and spend a week enjoying the natural treasures and pleasures of this
special piece of Massachusetts. Reserve early or you'll miss the opportunity to have a most wonderfulvacation on the Cape at the Midway Motel.

The Midway Motel is a little paradise right on the bike trail, and close to all the national seashore beaches. We were greeted cheerfully by the owner, and then in the morning we met all of our neighbors, delightful people who have been coming to this motel for years. This motel attracts customers who spend their days outside biking, walking, or fishing. This means that everyone is quiet at night. We appreciated the friendly, quiet atmosphere, the spotless room, and the reasonable price. We're already looking forward to next year!

We have been vacationing on Cape Cod at the Midway Motel in Eastham now for 27 years!! What do we say except it has always been a positive experience for us -- great spot on the Cape near all beaches, near Provincetown, near excellent restaurants, near great activities, on the bike trail. The motel itself is run and operated by Sally who is now like family to us. the grounds are very nicely landscaped, and the rooms and cottages are beyond clean and spotless. there is a common room with a refrig. and tv and board games and coffee and tea available in the mornings. Sally lives on the property and is always there to help in any way she can. We love the Cape and we love the Midway and we love Sally!! The Gubista family

This is a great little place to serve as your base while exploring the Cape, especially if you're doing the CCRT bike trail, which is accessed by a short path through the woods right behind the motel. It's a short ride to the beaches, and there's a terrific boulangerie/bistro just a short ride up to the trail head from the motel's location on the trail.
The rooms are clean and well-equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave. There are chairs and a table outside your room to enjoy this tranquil setting, set back in the woods away from the highway. This motel has the old-school motel layout, with the convenience of being able to pull your car right up to your door. I find that to be a charming feature that sadly has become all too rare these days. All this, and a great value as well. We will definitely return.

I recently stayed at the Midway Motel for 2 nights. It was a last minute booking for Labor day weekend, so there was only one room available. The room was the middle room and seemed to have ajoining doorways to the rooms on either side. I was afraid that I would be able to hear things from the other rooms, but it was absolutely perfectly quiet. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave. The rooms are outdated, with thing towels and bed linens, but the bed was comfortable anyway. This is pretty much as I expected since I have stayed in other motels in this area and all seem to be about the same when it comes to these things. I liked this place because it was quiet. There is no pool, but I didn't mind because I went up there to go to the beach. It's nice that you can pick up the Cape Cod Rail trail (bike path) just behind the property. I think Eastham is one of the best towns to stay in on this part of the cape because you are centrally located to the best beaches, restaurants, and amenities. The small interaction that I had with the staff (I was out and about most of the time) was pleasant. When I called to reserve my room the manager even told me that I could probably check in early if I wanted, which I thought was thoughtful and nice of her. The prices are good here as well. I would be interested to see what the rooms in the other structure look like as well as see the 2 cottages that are also part of the property.
