The Visitor Center has a interesting museum about the Cape's history, a small gift shop, and offers short films about the Cape. There are many interesting trails for hiking, biking and even for the blind.

This was a lovely experience. The views of the salt pond are quite beautiful. We were disappointed that one of the trails we wished to walk around was closed, due to a storm which wiped out the bridge. There were other options for walks, but they were longer than what we were looking for that day. There are educational opportunities in the form of exhibits and short films, and it was neat to be able to pick up various shells they had on display and feel them. That aspect seems like it would be interesting for those traveling with children. They have a wonderful gift shop on site, where I found unique and cool gifts for my young niece and nephew. I'll definitely be going back on my next trip to the Cape!

We liked the gift shop for a variety of National Sea shore items and the museum was really nice about the history of Cape Cod. It had some really nice artifacts and was free to public.

Between the exhibits, short films, friendly rangers and compact gift shop, this is an excellent introduction to the Cape Cod National Seashore and a great resource to plan a stay on the Outer Cape especially if you're time-crunched.
The visitor center is spacious enough to never feel cramped, even when a tour bus pulls in. Even if you have no need for information about the area, it's still worthwhile to make a stop to grab a view of the Salt Pond--a quintessential New England landscape if ever there was one.
