“Wonderful and welcoming”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

At the end of a tour of New England, we stayed at Inn at the Oaks in the 'Seacrest' room which was very comfortable, cosy and quaint.

The Inn is a great place- very welcoming and the staff were very helpful. All the little touches make the stay particularly pleasant- cookies on arrival, coffee and spiced apple in the afternoons; handwritten welcome note etc.

Eastham is a nice central place from which to explore the cape, and the Inn is two minutes away from the National Shore Vistor Centre from where you can pick up many bike trails and hikes.

Be aware- from mid October many restaurants and attractions are closed so you may have more of an issue finding places to eat out in the Eastham area, but if you head towards Orleans/Chatham, many more places seem to be open 'off season'.

It was a restful and delightful end of our holiday in New England and couldn't recommend it more!

We spent 6 nights at the Oaks in mid-October and were thoroughly pleased. We stayed in the Sunset Room - spacious, quiet, clean - - it suited us perfectly. Breakfast was just right - simple, fresh and in a great setting.

Next time we're on the Cape, we're staying at the Inn at the Oaks - no doubt about it!

We just stayed our 5th time at this inn in the last 3 years! We keep coming back every time they have a livingsocial deal just so we have an excuse to stay there.

This is an excellent place to stay. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I love the cosiness of the rooms, and the independence of walking freely on the grounds. It feels like you are staying at a friends house!

They also gave some good tips on what to do off season on the cape!

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful weekend spent at the Inn at the Oaks. We were fortunate to get their one available room for a very last minute getaway. Off season rates could not be beat!

We stayed on the third floor, and as mentioned by others, this is not a room for the tall folks. At just under six foot, my husband routinely banged his head on the ceiling, but we were given fair warning, so no complaints allowed! Our bathroom was just s few steps down the hall and was only accessible to us - next best thing to having one in your own room. Linens, etc were nice and both rooms were super clean. We peeked into several other roooms on Sunday before checkout and were pleased to see several that were much larger, with en suite bathrooms. Good to note for our next visit!

We arrived just before seven on Friday night and our innkeeper Kelly could not have been nicer or more welcoming. She gave us a tour of the Inn, which was much larger than we expected. There were many different rooms and areas within the common space where you could just curl up comfortably with a book or your laptop and hang out. One of the living rooms offered coffee, hot apple cider and awesome cookies every evening - yum! Though the inn was fully booked we were amazed at how infrequently we bumped into any of the other guests. In better weather we certainly would have enjoyed spending time on one of the decks or patios as well.

Though our room did not have a fridge in it, there was one available to guests, as well as a microwave and water cooler, in the common area, along with wine glasses, bottle openers, etc. Very nice and convenient!

Breakfast was really terrific - Not just your typical, cold continental fare. There was a wonderful assortment of homemade breads and muffins as well as bagels, breads and English muffins for toasting. Fresh cut fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee and tea ans several fresh juices made it a really nice offering.

We've stayed in this town on the Cape a number of times, usually in a new place each time, but I have to say that this is one place I look forward to staying at again and again.

Thanks for the great weekend and keep up the great work!

Room Tip: Third floor rooms are as small as they appear in photos. Not workable for tall folks.

I can't say enough good things about this Inn. We just got home from a 2 night stay. We had stayed at a few other places during our vacation and this was by far the best. The Inn was very homey and comfortable, personal touches everywhere, even notes on our pillow. Spotlessly clean. The staff was friendly and had great advice for the area. Breakfast was really good. Centrally located, it is on RT 6 so there is a little traffic but its far enough off the road and the trees in front act as a buffer. The traffic never kept us awake. I got a room with a stove but the weather was too warm for Nov so we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. I loved my nice hot bubble baths, with a cup of tea, in that big claw foot tub. They have everything you could want. I got the winter package and the gift basket was lovely. Perfect place for empty nesters like us or young couples that want a romantic a weekend alone.

Room Tip: We had the Captains room, it had a nice big tub and a gas stove, corner room, very private.

We stayed for a weekend and love the place,we had our daughter and grandson and a puppy,
We choose this place because they are pet friendly.
We stayed in a garden room wich was beautiful, looking outside and walking around in the porch at night for fresh air was very relaxing.
My daughter and son and the dog had a beautiful sweet complete with the kitchen and a bed room with two beds a large room it was a real good surprise, very comfortable and clean.
We stayed their a few years ago and that was a disaster We couldn't Waite to get out,the place was felty with plants in the rooms full of dust.
When I made the reservations I was looking for a place pet friendly and I didn't realize was the same place, and was very upset with myself with my mistake.
When we got their we found a complete different place and I was pleasant surprise.
I told my story to the lady in charge and found out their is a new owner and he remodel and replace everything in the house and fixed it around making it all new.
The place is like a home away from, several fire places living rooms very comfortable and cozy library, gift shop, they serve coffee and tea ,cookies and refreshment in the afternoon all good,
Chairs to seat outside, a large ground for children and pets to play outside.
Housekeeper is very friendly and polite, lots of variety items for breakfast nice fresh fruit salad very good for the morning, different kinds of teas and coffee.they should have some low fat milk .
We were very pleased and ill return,we like to go to the cap off season several times,we love Cap Cod.
I recommend this place a lot.

Room Tip: Excellent place for a get away anytime of the year and enjoy clean air to energize for the weeks ahe...

We have stayed here a number of times both on season and off. It's a lovely and comfortable place to stay and hang out. We started a fire in the living room and just stayed up late talking one night, one day played catch under the giant oak in the backyard. This is a nicely renovated old house with cool passages, nooks and cranies to explore. Staff is always friendly and efficient. Sit at the big table for breakfast and meet the other guests and gossip with the staff about local happenings. Favorite hotel in Eastham.
