“Worthy of a visit”

This place is amazing. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. It is a family style restaurant but the food is top shelf. The seafood bisque is loaded with whole shrimps, scallops and lobster and is making my mouth water just thinking about it. This last visit I had the baked stuffed haddock with crabmeat stuffing, it was such a large portion I brought half of it home. Several others in our party had the seafood casserole and they were pleased with their choices. It was a first visit for one couple and they were so pleased they are planning another visit in the near future. Our server was a young college student home on vacation and she was just a delight. She helped make the visit fun as well as enjoyable.

“Delicious Food and Great Service”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

My family and I have dined at this restaurant twice in the last month. We first ate here for Mother's Day. We had reservations for a party of seven for 1:00 p.m. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed, and several people were waiting to be seated. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our reserved time and gave our name. To our surprise, we were seated at exactly 1:00 p.m. Our server was Michelle, and she was extremely pleasant and efficient. Our drink order was taken promptly, and we were given ample time to review the menu before our order was taken. There are many wonderful choices on the menu. The appetizers that were ordered by our party included clam chowder, onion rings, corn chowder and stuffed quahogs. Everything was served piping hot and was absolutely delicious. Those who ordered the quahogs said that they were the best quahogs they had ever had. The entrees that were ordered consisted of a turkey pot pie, a turkey dinner, fish and chips, steak tips, a seafood casserole, a Pilgrim sandwich in a wrap, and a roast beef au jus sandwich. The dinners also included a choice of potato and vegetable. The portions were large, and several of us brought home leftovers which provided us with another meal. We were extremely pleased with our visit to this restaurant.
Due to our pleasant experience the first time, we once again dined at this restaurant for my aunt's birthday. Our server this time was Ron. He, too, was attentive and provided us with excellent service. The food was just as delicious as our first experience. New menu items that were ordered this time were an Angus burger and a chicken salad sandwich. We hope to dine here again in the near future.
For those who are interested, there is also a special function room. During our second visit, this room was being used for a funeral collation. There is also a room that is set up like a diner.

Have had much better meals at Cracker Barrel. I had the pot roast, it was cut from a processed loaf, the mashed potatoes were instant. No rolls, for $15.00. Service was good. Will not return.
