We had a delightful stay at The Parsonage Inn. Our hosts, Ian and Liz, could not have been more gracious. We had so much fun chatting with them about the area, common interests, etc. Our room was beautifully decorated "a la shabby chic". The bathroom was large and had all the customary accessories! The public areas were historic, warm, and cozy. But I have saved the best for last, breakfast. Cooked by Liz and absolutely delicious. We dined on the patio overlooking beautiful gardens. Only a mile and a half from the best beach on the Cape, Nauset Beach!! Also walking distance to town. A terrific location.

Room Tip: I only saw one of the rooms--upstairs on the left.

Charming and historic, The Parsonage Inn and Elizabeth and Ian, Innkeepers,
are just what one needs to escape the hubbub and relax!
We loved our stay and so enjoyed the old Cape feel with the beautiful antique furniture and decor, wide floor boards, beams, nooks and crannies, quilts and much more, coupled with anything and everything a guest might need or want while away from home! Softest sheets ! Comfy bed with great lights for reading! Plenty of closet and drawer space! you name it!

From the privacy of your own comfortable room to the sitting areas to the parlour with piano, you are made to feel at home. Elizabeth and Ian know just how to make you feel welcome and also allow for your privacy. We had such fun sharing stories with them and meeting other guests at breakfast (delicious and great coffee).
We only wish we had more time to get to know our interesting hosts.... we had a great week weather wise so we dashed to the beach every day! but we will be back as soon as we can get away!
As far as location is concerned, if you've never been to Cape Cod, you'll find The Parsonage Inn ideally located at the Cape's elbow allowing for excursions up Cape and outer Cape. You are minutes from Nauset Beach on the ocean, Skaket Beach on the bay, freshwater lakes and hiking and biking trails too! Not to mention museums and antiquing!
Elizabeth and Ian are a wealth of knowledge to help you discover what the area has to offer.
We thank and admire them for keeping the Cape dream alive for those of us who can't live there but love to retreat and feel at home.

I only spent one night at this beautiful, historic inn, but I will definitely be returning soon. The rooms were very comfortable, with a charming character that made me feel right at home. Every little thing you could possibly need or want was taken care of, and I even borrowed a beach chair to take on a day trip to one of the local beaches, which are very close to the Inn. Elizabeth and Ian, the hosts of the Parsonage Inn, made me feel like family, and were so welcoming and friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this inn to couples and families alike. My parents raved about the delicious homemade breakfasts, but unfortunately I had to leave early, so did not get to partake. However, I have a copy of the Inn's cookbook and will be attempting to recreate some of their delicious meals. East Orleans is a great destination on the Cape, and the Parsonage Inn should not be missed!

Room Tip: The Inn website has photos of the rooms to help you choose. Elizabeth and Ian are more than happy to...

We spent seven lovely days at the Inn and loved our Barn room with views of woodpeckers and more from our bedroom window! All mod cons ( even a teapot provided for us Brits!) and so beautifully furnished. Ian and Liz were the perfect hosts who went out of their way to make our stay memorable and the breakfasts were, without exception, fantastic - a lovely way to start the day. The surrounding area was great for walking birdwatchers and having the Farm shop opposite ideal for picking up snacks. We are spreading the word in England of how friendly people on the Cape were and how much we managed to fit in during two weeks.

Room Tip: I am sure all rooms would have been equally good.

Convenient for the beaches and the center of the cape. The town center is a short drive away with a variety of shops and restaurants. Rooms are homely and comfortable. The owners that run the hotel are welcoming and do their best to meet your every need. The inn itself is a historic style building with many charming features. A perfect place for couples looking for a peaceful, well run B&B in a convenient location. One tip...take a flashlight with you, if you plan to walk to the local bars and restaurants as the roads can be a little dark at night. And there are some very good bars and restaurants in walking distance from the inn.

We return to Cape Cod as many summers as we can, knowing that the weather can be glorious or it can present a challenge. Liz and Ian always greet us with broad smiles, eager to hear about our children who have now grown up and married. This year the greetings were no different, but Hurricane Irene was making her way up the East Coast and provided a bit of anxiety for many. Just at the tail end of the storm the power went out -- and stayed out for two days. Liz and Ian made their guests comfortable by providing extra portable lights and -- amazingly -- gourmet breakfasts each morning. After 20 years, they have Cape Cod storm cooking down pat and use an outdoor grill and who knows what else to still turn out yummy food.
The location of The Parsonage is ideal for folks who like to walk to local restaurants. There are several in the immediate area and sidewalks where they are clustered. Plenty of menus of other restaurants farther afield or just a short drive away are available in the inn living room. Liz and Ian will be happy to make suggestions.
If you're like us, whether you go into the water or not, the main attraction is Nauset Beach. That's less than 2 miles away. It's walkable if you don't carry much, but that's not our style (umbrella, cooler, beach chairs, ... ). We do run while we stay in East Orleans but are careful to do so single file where there is no sidewalk since most roads are narrow.
We always look forward to our return.

We've had a warm welcome upon arrival each visit. Linen and towel service is great. Air conditioning, when needed, adds to a comfortable stay. Delicious breakfasts are served either on the patio or in a charming dining room. The innkeepers are so helpful in assisting guests to explore the area and plan dining experiences. The warmth and enthusiasm of the owners brightens each day. The location is very convenient to beach. lakes and dining. We're looking forward to next years visit.
