What a lovely friendly motel. Big clean room, well equipped "efficiency" (being from England we hadn't heard that expression before, so for the benefit of other Brits, it's a small kitchen just off the bedroom). Very pleasant grounds and swimming pool and we appreciated the offer of bikes to cycle to the beaches although lack of time prevented us from taking advantage of them, and a special mention must go to the lovely homemade pastries served at breakfast.
Our visit coincided with Hurrican Irene and the resulting power cuts. In the evening the owners thoughtfully made sure guests had torches, and in the morning, with no power for breakfast, they kindly made a trip to a Dunkin Donuts so at least we had fresh hot coffee.
Oh, and great nearby beaches. In fact, the whole area is a delight.

We stayed here with our 2 kids and my dad in the Marthas Vineyard suite for 3 nights. The hosts were great, the room was clean and breakfast was incredible.
The first day we checked in and kids swam (plenty of toys on site) then we rented bikes for a 10 min ride to the beach. They had bikes available on site for free; ok for a quick ride but we would not use them if we were going out for a longer ride. We spent 2 days at Mayflower beach and it was beautiful! Another day at Corporation beach was better for the kids to hunt crabs but we definitely preferred mayflower for swimming and playing in the sand. We had a breakfast at Grumpy's right across the street and it was quick, reasonable and very good traditional breakfast. Dinners at Kates, Diparmas and Riverway were all great.

We stayed at Seauit Harbor House on ht erecommendation of my sister who lives nearby. Our family reunion had grown too big for her house. What a great find to stay at Sesuit Harbor House! JIm and Kim and all the staff made us feel right at home and worked tirelessly with us to accommodate all the varying arrival departure days and the multiple room accommodations needed. The facility, grounds and rooms are outstanding and beautiful. Kim and Jim are always available but never intrusive. They truly make you feel like "part of the family". (And Jim's home baked breakfasts-especially the cinammon rolls- are worthy of an Acadamy Award!! If you want the "Ultimate Cape Cod Experience" this is the palce to visit. I recommend it for family or couples. It's the best !!

Travelling with a group of 10 friends (mostly couples in our 20s and 30s) we had a tough time finding a place to stay on Cape Cod, since we didn't want to rent a house for an entire week but we also didn't want to stay someplace where we might disturb families and retirees on their vacation. We decided to take a chance on the Sesuit Harbor House. You never know what the atmosphere will be like at locally owned establishments (some are strict, some prefer a particular age group, some are mismanaged - you just never know). We're happy to say that the Sesuit Harbor House was absolutely perfect for us - and would be for literally any type of traveler. The owners were friendly, helpful, and sincere. They welcomed us instantly. Since we arrived in the late morning, they offered to watch over our luggage and gave us an umbrella and cooler for the beach. All the recommendations they gave us - from which beach to visit to where to get meals - were spot on for our expectations and price range. I felt like we were getting the local insiders' scoop on everything. The rooms were clean and charming. The grounds so peaceful. And they had plenty to keep the guys in our group entertained (especially croquet and bocce ball). The other guests were all ages - some younger than us, some older - but everyone was pleasant to chat with and friendly to our group. We met several folks who have been coming here for up to 10 years - and we can see why! This was the highlight of our trip and we all wished we could have stayed longer. On our last day we drove along Route 28 on the southern side of the Cape and were so grateful that we stayed at the Sesuit; East Dennis and everything along Route 6A was quainter and cleaner and less crowded. If you're looking for an affordable option on Cape Cod, stay at Sesuit House - you'll be glad you did.

This is an absolutely great place for families to stay. It appeared to be one of the few affordable and family-friendly places I could find on the "quiet" side of the Cape and turned out to be an excellent choice and value. Our room was very nice, while the pool and surrounding property were outstanding -- my kids never wanted to stop swimming and playing croquet, and it was also nice to just lounge in the ample seating and take in the scenery. The breakfast was also very good. Jim and Kim were extremely friendly and helpful, with a thorough knowledge of the local attactions and very practical tips on the where, when, how, etc. Since we were travelling from out of state, it was very helpful that they readily loan out beach chairs, towels, etc. (including bikes, though we didn't have time for that). All in all, this was the perfect place to stay and a wonderful memory (my son was on the verge of tears when we had to leave after ONLY three days!).

Sesuit Harbor House is an awesome place. We traveled to Boston for five days and then spent the next 5 days traveling through New England. I was lucky to somehow find the Sesuit Harbor House on the internet . . . and was even luckier that they happened to have one room available on the night that we wanted it ! I can not say enough positive things about this place. My whole family loved it from the minute we drove up. It is not a motel at all (the old name was Sesuit Harbor Motel, but the owners have changed it to Sesuit Harbor House). It is an "inn" ! Our room was simple, yet very charming - light blue chenille bedspreads - I loved that ! The "inn" is composed of a very old house and three other building that have a variety of types of rooms. Our room had two double beds and a small kitchen (we also had a cot for our third child). The grounds are lovely ! The Sesuit Harbor House has a very nice pool - complete with floats etc- and several other very enjoyable FREE amenities. My family loved riding bikes (available for free) to the harbor ! My children also enjoyed playing croquet the next morning before we left. Our stay included a very lovely breakfast with homemade goodies - coffee cake, blueberry bread, banana nut bread, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, and a variety of other breads. The breakfast is served in the sunroom and you can eat it in the sunroom or at a variety of other tables on the grounds. I can not say enough nice things about the owners Jim and Kim - They are the most hospitable people that I have ever met. They have found their perfect job ! Eventhough we were only there one night, we had several very enjoyable conversations with them - including advice on things to do in the area. When I checked out the next morning, Kim said goodbye and called me by name! We also had wonderful conversations with some of the other guests there and learned that many of these couples have been coming to the Sesuit Harbor House for years ! It is obvious why they keep coming back ! We had one very big regret - that they did not have an opening the next night. Eventhough we already had plans to be in a different location the next night, we would have gladly changed our plans to spend another night at the Sesuit Harbor House. This place is appealing to any age person - my 17 year old son LOVED it and wants to come back next year - too bad we are from South Carolina and can't justify a trip there every year !

Room Tip: Tell Jim or Kim what your needs are and if you book far enough in advance, they will have the perfec...
