My husband and I stopped at this restaurant on Friday early afternoon before the dinner hour. It was empty so we had our choice of tables to sit at. Usually in the past it's been always almost filled to capacity. We ordered the specials a cup of chowder and fish and chips that came with a tiny container of coleslaw. We loved the chowder, the fish and chips, the coleslaw was passable (I'm a critic because I happen to like my own better, but this wasn't bad). They have a Nautical look and have just added a Tv for those who like to watch it ..being on "Mute" it's not distracting. The waitstaff has always been efficient and courteous, and pleasant ..always asking if everything is ok..Our bill came when we said we were finished with our meal. I have heard negative reviews about this restaurant but always like to "see for myself" and in this incident we were not unhappy but pleased because in the past we always enjoyed coming here. The price for the special was $8.99 not counting beverage so I don't consider it exhorbitant but reasonable..some of the other entrees are a little pricey ..clams, scallops etc. but I believe it's supply and demand and at different times of the year there are rises because of the economy. So before you make a choice whether it be negative or positive ...give this place a try..in my opinion you won't be dissappointed. This restaurant has won awards of the best seafood voted by the people in the past. This location is off the main thoroughfare and the view from the windows is the construction of the new high school and of the cars passing by..not necessarily the view that some would prefer but for people watchers it's fine.
